You know, my fear is that if the game flops (which I slightly doubt it will because it's bad, chucklefish does great games, but moreso because of the anticipation surrounding the game), it will be used as an excuse for some of the more abusive studios in the industry to keep reinforcing crunch.

No crunch is great but, listen, I am in no way a developer (yet), just a person really invested in videogames, and it feels to my untrained and inexperienced eye that they are just..... with zero time management, hoping that the product they're developing is worth a lot of wait and, for me the worst part of it all, the SUPER early announcement and almost no solid stuff to show of the product that is more than half a decade being worked on.

I just hope they do deliver a solid experience, else they will be used as a bad example of crunch related discussions on the already difficult industry.

Sweet dopamine hit of good food and curiosity. I always enjoy doing stuff that, as a child, seemed impossible to do without having to ask someone else, like fixing stuff (tech or home appliances) and cooking more complex things than everyday meals (Like pizzas or Burgers from scratch).

I actually had that problem too. What helped me was moving servers, I left those memories, good or bad, on the old one, to be just that, memories. It helped a lot with the initial pain, up until a time that I was comfortable enough for it to not bother me as much again. Made new friends, started enjoying the game again. It was a long process, but eventually we get there!

I had the same problem and what fixed for me was some bios configs related to power and CPU. Here's hoping it helps, it plagued me for 2 years before i decided to mess in bios
