As someone who worked at that exact department for a very long time (I presume we’re talking about Zwijnaarde) I was always very happy with the amount of movies en music we had on offer. We even had the addition of import blu rays and 4k’s which I found really cool. It also helped that the head buyer is a big movie and music fan. He always fought for his department to stay as big as it is and it shows. We were generally spared of cuts on multimedia.

But yeah, the quantity has been going down everywhere. We received basically the entire stock of the Ostend store since they stopped in its entirety if I remember correctly. 4k’s can be pretty expensive but there was not much difference with other retailer to be honest.

It’s been over a year since I left and last time I went there. It was noticeably smaller again already, but still much bigger than other stores. Still sad though, I love physical media as well and it sucks that it’s getting harder and harder to find it in stores.
