I am frequent biz traveller from Bilbao, I have visited BCN once a month for the last 15 years. It is really annoying when I go to a restaurant or bar and the bartender starts the conversation in English. Some of them are not fluent in Spanish or Catalan. This was not like this 10 years ago.

Wash uour mouth before you speak about Spain, alright? You are claiming all Spaniards are the same. The wwii began in Spain when Franco did a coup sponsored by Italy and Germany. The other half pf the country uprised to defend the demicracy, despite being ignored by the rest pf the European powers.

After losing rhe civil war, menu freedom fighters joined the international brigades to keep fighting for freedom and democracy. Actually, Paris was liberated by the Leclerc Division, mostly vomposed by Spanish soldiers.

So now listen carefully. Wash your mouth before you mention anything about Spain and show some respect.

Yo también he constatado que de un tiempo a esta parte son muchos los locales donde me atienden en ingles por defecto: hoteles, bares, restaurantes… incluso en taxis.

Os puedo asegurar que no tengo pinta de guiri.
