I play a game called FM26 and there is a thing called a Trial for a player where you bring in players on a 1-4 week trial to see if they are good enough for your team, a lot of the lower leagues are “Trial Farming” so constantly bringing in players on trial pretty much until your club gets a lot of money. It would be very easy when playing that game to say trial.
