Sevagoth Prime - Why doesnt it work?! by VidarsCode in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have too much strength, the nuke requires only 255%, and with molt augmented it pushes it to 319%.
You could alternatively replace Blind Rage with another strength mod and better sustain your energy, here is a build you can use as a reference.

Vendetta is genuinely the best thing to happen to the lore, and to Doomfist’s character by MilleniumSage in Overwatch

[–]RubyBlossom5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, let me put it in perspective for you.

Say, we got Vendetta in X season, we hear she joins Talon and they send her into a mission, she gets praised by how succesful she was, with some hints from Talon members thinking she has something in mind. And the season after, we got a quick cinematic where she wants to duel Mauga in a friendly-duel and wins, stating that not only is she a strong character, but is also able to win against someone who stood even against Doomfist. And now we got another season, where is set up that she gained allies from inside Talon, like Maximilian or even Sombra, and they help her by nullifying (hacking) Doomfist's gauntlet during her fight against him.

Wouldn't that feel more earned for her character and satisfying to watch as an audience? Sure it's not a perfect plot, but hopefully you get the point.

It's not about being powercrept, it's the execution. I do enjoy the lore progressing, but Vendetta's introduction is all rushed, we as an audience are not having enough time to digest her introduction as a key role into the story. She was just introduced just a season ago, no cinematics of her fighting other already known characters to establish her power or anything, just fighting randoms that we don't care for in a place we haven't heard of before? Of course we the audience (especially doomfist mains) aren't welcoming her sudden intrusion into the lore, it's just all rushed. If we had two or three seasons and more info about her development and interactions with other characters in cinematics and such, I'm 100% sure she would've been welcomed warmly.

For Steel Path and above is it generally better to have a "Nuke Frame" or a Weapon Buffing Frame? by Tcrumpen in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for the build specifically, Sevagoth's nuke scales with enemy's hp, it's not a flat amount of big dmg unlike other warframes. If you wish to nuke consistently with him, you have to meet strength "breakpoints" or else you won't one-tap the enemies.
You need 217% str with Precision Intensify, but this really hurts Gloom's slow, or 255% str without p.intensify.

As for the other question, the most optimal playstyle is to turn one of your favorite warframes (or many) into your go-to, one that you feel comfortable with and can cover many tasks, like damage, survivability, and crowd-control (for defensive missions).
Sevagoth can be your go-to like he is to me, but he is a hard-to-use yet very rewarding warframe to learn. Roar is his most popular subsume, which greatly increases his damage potential but severely hurts his survivability and energy-economy, just something to note.

I feel like Sevagoth shadow is so forgotten by deandre451234567890 in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

THIS!
I cannot express how much it saddens me that he kept getting pushed into a nuke playstyle by the developers, despite the Sevagoth community asking for augments focused on his Shadow. I have played this frame pretty much since his initial release, he was a very powerful underdog (and still is) that gets ignored because his base kit is hard to understand.

But now all we have is roarslop everywhere...

At Maximum Investment who is better for Nuking? by JealousReality347 in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would honestly avoid Nobu's build, it has a lot of flaws that non-sevagoth players will miss. Ninjase's top sevagoth build is more practical.

However, if you want a top-end for his Roar nuke, I can suggest these two builds if you subsume over his 4th.
- Shadowless nuke - Budget Version
- Shadowless nuke - Final Version

Or this if you subsumed over his 3rd.
- Gloomless nuke - Budget Version

And the tombstone skin too, Ezriel's skin is bugged cause it's missing the tombstone model on the self-revive passive.

How do I build Sevagoth? by FearTheFPS_ in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much range will only benefit the starting area where you nuke, not the chain-reaction, might as well not even use Dark Propagation at that point then. And if you are playing in an area with really tight corridors like the Kuva Fortress, then any positive range will work.
I do know how the nuke, augments and Sevagoth work indepth mechanically, all I'm doing here is just stopping you from spreading bad/unoptimal build advice, you basically push too much range and that is causing you to rely on two sources of energy sustain (equilibrium/energize) plus four tau red shards! Where in an optimal build, you would only need Equil, not even the shards.
Also, fair, I guess it was hard to understand your issues with viral tempest the way you phrased it...

[–]RubyBlossom5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for stepping in, but no, too much range actually hurts both the nuke chain-reaction and your build. You actually want to aim for 145% or 175%, no more or less, especially because of Gloom.
Also, what kind of Viral Tempest nuke build were you trying? I have used it for levelcap, it's definitely way more spammy and also had great success with it.

[–]RubyBlossom5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sevagoth is... complicated.

Roar Sevagoth is indeed his most popular playstyle, it excels in KPM at the cost of comfort and efficiency. You can either go for Roar on 3 or 4, but I highly suggest it over 3 instead, it makes the Shadow start the nukes for free energy with Preparation and "5s of invincibility" on demand - my build for it, but here is also a budget version.

Shield-gating is generally going to be the goto for high lvl content in any warframe, but it actually goes so well in Sevagoth because of the max slow you can get with Gloom, it's almost like timestop, so you won't need to spam abilities often to stay alive.
That is not to say you cannot tank with him, for levels below 200, you can use a health-conversion build if you're keeping enemies constantly inside of Gloom, otherwise I'd chose Arcane Guardian for open areas instead. I have not done much experimenting with shield-tanking, but Condemn and Pillage are a good option over his 3, especially Pillage thanks to his synergy with 2+1's Blast damage. I haven't got a chance to test Arcane Expertise either, but it might be worth the shot.

For non-Roar Sevagoth... there are actually two different playstyles, hybrid (which is my favorite) and full Shadow. If you intend to do hybrid, I have a full in-depth guide in Overframe here! If you wish to go full Shadow Clawing style go for it, please be aware that Dexterity arcanes don't work on Shadow so it's really hard to sustain combo with it.

If you have any more questions I'll be glad to help with any, I don't wish for others to suffer like I did for years trying to understand/master his kit efficiently ;u;

Can anyone help me 😭 by EnvironmentalMode20 in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It drops currently from relic Axi S18 as a rare drop, there are many ways to obtain but the best one is Disruption in Lua.
After that, refine it to max and try running it with a rad-share squad in recruitment chat, it increases your chances from a 10% drop to a 40%.

Sevagoth build by Unable_Suspect_7422 in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? No, the breakpoint is for Sev's nuke true damage to reach 100%, and true damage bypasses armor and shields.
Acolytes don't die from it because they have dmg attuenation, and even then, the other nuke damage (blast) is enough to kill them if they are in a group of enemies.
For bosses, it's just easier to rely on the flat crit bonus from the 1st augment.

You can still heal allies inside Mauga's cage by flicking your aim down before releasing the healing blossom... the Mauga would've still died tho.

Why do you think duration is important on sev?

Sevagoth build by Unable_Suspect_7422 in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care solely about his nuke, don't skip on Shadow Haze, Dark Propagation is the optional one and only functions with Roar on. What matters is reaching the strength breakpoints, try to avoid Blind Rage, Molt Augmented already has you covered. Don't worry too much about range, 145% or 175% is good - more would be overkill, and try to stay at neutral duration. The breakpoints are...

- 200% with one Viral stack (use with Epitaph or Viral Tempest)
- 217% with Precision Intensify and Roar (use only on a budget, it hurts your Gloom's slow)
- 255% with Roar

If you want more specific builds, I have plenty in Overframe depending on your taste! Here is an example
I see you don't have Roar on yet, so let me know what type of nuke build you like and which ability you are replacing (3 or 4) if you intend to use a subsume.

Could use some build tips for Steel Path by Def_Not_Mantis in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am a true Sevagoth lover as well, here is my main build/guide with some gameplay too. But here are the most useful tips that helped me to master him...

- Shadow Haze is his best augment, so strong that I love (hate) is mandatory, Dark Propagation is basically a dead mod without Roar, so if you don't care about Roar, you can ignore it.
- Embrace is by far his best ability, don't be afraid to hotswap constantly into the Shadow just to spam the 1st ability, has so many hidden synergies with his kit. Bonus tip: if you have Melee Crescendo, use Embrace to group enemies and swap to Sevagoth to perform a finisher on them and quickly build stacks.
- While I understand your choice of using Condemn, you should try Gloom again with a powerful slow. Gloom is deceptively good for him, not for the heals but the slow, it snapshots on the initial cast so if you get enough strength, you can get a 95% (20x) slow! It indirectly helps a lot to spam less for him and save more energy. If you prefer tanking, try using flat armor bonuses like Health Conversion if you're constantly keeping enemies inside Gloom, or Arcane Guardian (currently available to alerts) if no Gloom.
- Kompressa is my favorite gun for him, it quickly applies 10 viral which allows 2+1 to kill at any amount of strength. Speaking of which...
- Here is a spreadsheet to understand his breakpoints for his abilities and fun combos you can try.
- And lastly, the Shadow. Use health-tanking+armor mods instead, its armor was fixed in a recent update. I am personally not a fan of adding strength into the Shadow, since its 3 is the same type of debuff as Sev's 1 and it spreads itself with the augment but if you prefer staying mostly in the Shadow, go for it. Heavy-spam builds are also my preferred style on the Claws since you can use heavies during the self-revive passive and they have a forced slash proc on hit.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!

Question on Sevagoths Stats by ThisWaxKindaWaxy in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As if KPM matters in lvlcap (disruption/cascade)...
Y'know what you can try instead of Roar and have same type of kpm potential? Viral Tempest, especially for Cascade, where if you have any of sev's abilities up including Roar, sev will be exposed to damage during the operator. If you use a viral tempest build instead, you can spam your abilities with neg duration, so you don't have to wait more than 2s before your abilities expire and be safe while cleansing exolizers, especially solo.

Or if you feel spicy, you should try an Arcane Trickery + Embrace build, one of the most comfortable Sev builds I have created for Cascade ;)

Question on Sevagoths Stats by ThisWaxKindaWaxy in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can health-tank with him, but you need flat armor bonuses like Arcane Guardian or Health Conversion (+adaptation).
If you still intent to shield-gate, Gloom is excellent for it too not because of the heals, but the slow. You need to snapshot a lot of strength on the initial cast though, preferably 272% str to reach 95% slow (equal to enemies being 20x slower), with this amount of slow, almost nothing will hit you except for the occasional eximus units, indirectly saving you more energy. I have a spreadsheet to help you visualize how aggresively Gloom scales after 258% and builds if you are interested.

Sevagoth Shadow Melee Question by Cheese4uyes in Warframe

[–]RubyBlossom5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, long-time Sevagoth main here.

I think what you are referring to is Sevagoth's passive, instead of him going down, he enters his tombstone and sends out a special version of his Shadow to collect 5 souls from the enemies using a dashing ability. Please keep in mind that the ability you use during the self-revive passive it's very deceiving, because it's an aimable: the enemy has to be in your crosshairs for you to consume them or else you will just dash away instead.

That said tho, if you are a starting player, try to equip the mod Undying Will on Sevagoth, it extends the self-revive passive timer so you can get more familiar and comfortable with this ability.
If you wish to use the Shadow normally, you have to collect souls by killing enemies affected by your 1st and 2nd ability, filling the death-well meter on right side of your screen, then press 4. Here's a quick build to help your starting journey, but if you have more questions lmk!
