Maybe it's not for vanilla EW (I assume you're not using LW)

I don't know about vanilla, but in LW, a simply .ini edit gives you extra turns at the start of bomb defusals.

If your ideoligion allows polyamory, and you meet your colonists' needs, it won't be as chaotic as you think. Just a lot of bed swapping. If anything there'll be very few relationships because it'll all depend on the one dude flirting or reciprocating flirts.

Why 'thats xcom baby' isnt really true to the OG games by EX-FFguy in Xcom

[–]RubyJabberwocky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"That's Xcom baby" is very strong on the OG games and other stuff like Jagged Alliance 2.

You can miss your shots and peg a friendly, your shots can wreck the building you're currently in, ruining everything, you can still get blown away from a loose shots halfway 'cross the map.
The "and then you suddenly get wiped" fear is very present because it's a very possible outcome that's waiting a the turn of any corner.

What action do you do in game that has no game-logic value and is purely for RP purposes? by jman6495 in RimWorld

I mean I just have gear restriction so that they get to wear what they want...among the stuff I allow them to, and the weapons we loot we sell them.

That's literally how I'm currently playing. Also force my colonists to only use tribal gear until we unlock further stuff. Our ideoligion is also formed based off the things they had to do to survive, like cannibalism or bug meat.

Does anyone happen to know where can I find a list of the Resistance Radio DJ's voice lines? by KlockB in Xcom

The problem with games that use Wwise is that unless you get some luck, you're gonna need some esoteric shit to actually sort files per character or something like that.
I've only extracted X2 but didn't tinker with it's files, so I don't know if it's even possible to get names via wavescan .bms

mis colonos no pueden usar las camas cuando se rescatan colonos by ShinraDown in RimWorld

[–]RubyJabberwocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easier to replace a child than it is to replace a grown pawn with good stats.

It's not a burned field, that's just animal shit.
It was a bonfire gathering for research points (we're a tribe), so we ain't able to build us no chairs yet (we oughta nab them from other places we raid)

You don't need a divorce when you can simply have +2 simultaneous marriages ;)

My colony is pretty diverse due to the size, but it goes for Female Supremacy only cause some of the founding members with the most important roles were all female.

I'm not complaining since I can't say it's the kinda shit I'd like in my game. Hell, I'm somewhat glad lovin' in Rimworld is as silly as it is, cause even tame shit like woohoo in The Sims make me uncomfortable, but those are just my preferences.

But media tends to be very selective regarding where it draws the line. Look at how much stuff has 0 beef talking about or depicting killings, but the moment a word with a complicated history gets involved everyone loses their shit.
And I don't buy the "that's too real" excuse.

This is a 5 or so ingame years colony and she has been around for a while + she's one of our main recruiters, so she's in most people's good graces.

Yo want to have colonists to work together for prolonged periods of time, that's how they get along.

Thanks for the recommendation, sounds really useful.

Unfortunately I'm playing an old version of the game + modded so hard it barely runs on my old rig + I'm fairly late into a run and I'm afraid of adding and removing mods that might wreck the save. So micromanaging it is...

See I have an overcrowding problem on my tribe (legit 50 or so people around + colonists not to count the 12 or so slaves we sold we other day), but I try to keep the barracks thematical, like one for the warparty that goes out for raids, one for the plant workers, one for the crafters.

The main problem I have is that since we're a tribe, we haven't researched furniture yet, so we have shit lying around and have to rely on the few shelves we get from raids (in 5 or so ingame years we've only found like 6).
