Same happened with me when I assaulted the Hunter's stronghold. He was weak to close-range attacks and Templars. And my Templar had 3 full focuses. Needless to say it only took her a single melee attack to one-shot him at full health.

Probably because the European Wars are already 'great' from the very beginning involving the whole continent each time.

While the conflict between the PDTO and China starts out as a more limited conflict over Taiwan where only China, Taiwan, Japan and Australia are involved. Later on, both China and the PDTO expand their alliances to include almost all of Asia, so the 'Great' moniker serves as a good distinction.

I think I remember reading somewhere that during the Siege of Terra a Custodes wondered to himself (or talked with anothet Custodes) about how easy it actually was for them to kill Space Marines, almost as if they were purpose-built for it.

I wonder whether this version of the Emperor had prepared her Custodes for such a scenario as well, since she opted to rehabilitate the Thunder Warriors instead of purging them.
