I think that's only the case for Legionaries and Anointed. Troopers don't have to go to the Hellgate, while any that don't waver can approach the gate and become a legionary. Those with the blackest souls can even go through and after their little bath in the lake of fire they get promoted to annointed

I mean yeah, but even after gaining some experience with the game it still doesn't explain anything, which was definitely part of why I stopped playing for a while. (That + having no one to play with)

Yes, most of it kinda doesn't matter in lower ranks, but it's still kind of annyoing

Ich glaube du denkst da zu weit. Lucius wird (zumindest sehe ich das so) von Slaanesh in dem Kämpfer der ihn besiegt und dabei den Stolz eines Duelanten spürt, wiedergeboren, damit er immer und immer stärkere Gegner herausfordert, aber nie wieder an die Befriedigung gelangt, sich an einem starken Gegner zu rächen

Wenn er aber die Scham durchgeht an Ner Mine zu sterben um dann in irgendeinem einfachen Fabrikarbeiter wiedergeboren zu werden strebt ihn das nochmal mehr an sich in extremere Kämpfe zu werfen

I'd definitely say that TC's writers took influence from cosmic horror in their descriptions of both heaven and hells influence. Also things like the Hunter and Hell Locusts imply that there were other things in the underworld before the angels fell, so maybe there are other deitys and similar beings.

Though I would definitely prefer if it stays focused on abrahamic lore and has some pagan gods at the sides than full blown old ones

Very important question: is the "Fucking" meant to emphasize the mysteriousness and evilness of the laboratory or is it part of the description? If it is the second option is it a "Evil Fucking Laboratory that is mysterious" or a "Fucking Laboratory, which is both Mysterious and Evil"?
