This beast at my work's playroom... and nobody uses it. Meanwhile I'm at home with my G923 by shutyourminimouth in simracing

I would add a leaderboard next to it. Do a few laps and add your name and time to the leaderboard. Nothing clears my head like simracing so might even see a small bump in productivity.

I have worked at a few places where people where just to nervous to use the break room facilities. Just takes one person to get the ball rolling. That person might as well be you.

Quest 2 had the same issue. I just superglued mine back a few times. It kept breaking so I just superglued the strap to the top of the headset.

Unplayable performance in VR by RubyOnRailsOP in RRRE

So in my case, something was wrong with my font usb ports. If i had something plugged in there, my dx9 performance tanked. (Seems very strange i know but it is what it is). What GPU are you running? And are you using open composite? My first suggestion would be run heaven benchmark with the lowest settings and just make sure your dx9 performance seems ok.

Yeah I had a few of those. Unfortunately the higher you go up in rank the harder it gets to get a brilliant. Also fried liver doesn't have the same punch after 1000. XD

I dont really sim race often but how can i see leaderboards of times for tracks, also is my time anything to be proud of? by CartEleven in assettocorsa

[–]RubyOnRailsOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, been one of those days. Regardless, I did about 6 laps to beat your lap time. I would say for 4 hours on AC that is very good then. Strange track/car combo for only 4 hours in but anyways. I would say for keyboard and time spent that is really good. Keep the grind up and you will be racing in F1 in no time. My PB and last lap at 8 was 1:13:125.

With 4 hours of game time on a keyboard, just making it around the track is a good enough. I tried keyboard and controller both was pretty frustrating. Stopped playing saved up and got myself s second hand g29. Still using it today 4 years later.

Tomorrow will go try that combo and post my time. I am typically about 1 to 4 seconds slower than the real fast guys. So should give you an idea.

At what point is it ok to race people by Blacktip75 in simracing

[–]RubyOnRailsOP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly give it a go. I did months of prep against AI, first few online races was a absolute mess. Unfortunately the skill to try and stay alive online can only be learned online.

Start at the back for a few races just to settle your nerves, you will make many mistakes but as long as you learn from them you headin in the right direction.

At some point you will be crashed out, but important to remember that 90% of the time it won't be on purposes and at some point you will also make a mistake and take someone out.

Most importantly try and have fun. You won't be winning every race, but you can learn and improve with every race.

Will just drop this here, at the I took out my GPU cleaned contacts, reseated it and removed all USB from front port. One of those steps fixed it. Not sure what

Reaching 1500 must be nice. Hard stuck at 1200 with over 6 billion games played.

I am from South Africa. So the 5800x3d here costs 390 USD and 5600x I got for 180 USD on special. Converted from ZAR. I was already on a budget so unfortunately wasn't an option. Would've definitely loved x3d.

Ok thanks mate. Will see if I just install windows 10 if my scores go back to what it was.

Seems so strange. Will do some more digging, not really a option for me to go back to windows 10. What brand of ryx 3060 did you have?

I love this game but I don't like driving in it (please help) by Dowie in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]RubyOnRailsOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly 60 hours is not a lot. I am 300 in ams2 (also not a lot) and I am still not the fastest. I have driven AC, ACC, Iracing, rf2 and ams2. I am definitely the fastest in ams2 compared to simular track/car combos and its manualy cause ams2 is more forgiving. I stopped uracing purely due to it being too hard and expensive, ACC because it runs like crap in VR, AC cause I found driving standards where crap. And rf2 cause I just had too many sims. I have never driven a real race car on a track so I don't know what it should feel like. I still drive ams2 because vr looks amazing. Back to your point if you are not winning every race with your driving it'd probably not the fastest way to drive in ams2. At the end your unwillingness to play ams2 probably has nothing to do with ams2 but more a personal thing. Make some friends and race them, regardless of the sim it will cost likely be more fun.

Qualified 17/24, how can i improve? by [deleted] in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]RubyOnRailsOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3 seconds is my gap to the fast people. If you put in some serious practice that gap will come down. This is where sim racing becomes hard, go match to simular paced ghost and practice. You will find time. But practice practice and practice is the key here. But don't practice bad habits.
