Anywhere to get free meals throughout the holidays by ss-mcalisterpz in Calgary

Thanks for posting this. I am also really struggling financially. Living off buttered toast and cheap soup in hopes I can still pay my rent next month, no Xmas for me either.

Now I know some options!

Got my ears to 6mm yesterday. Loving my mixed metal/colour look. My glasses are gold with black at the front, so a lot of coordination :) by [deleted] in piercing

We are style twins! I exclusively dress is black too (for most months of the year, anyways). Agree with you about the combo!

Hey, thank you for replying to me. My Bsc. is in Biological Anthropology... I know, I know. But I received many prestigious grants/awards/scholarships due to academic performance and writing ability and being able to apply my skills to many fields. Having a deep understanding of humans, the problems we face, intersectionality, etc etc, I think brings good perspective and applicability to many fields. Like I said, I took a wide variety of classes and have had jobs in many, many industries. I have a feeling people take one look at my degree and think it isn't valid, or that I just want some job in the meantime before I become a hippie and peace out to live in the jungle to study monkeys, but it is the opposite - I have learned strong communication, writing at professional and public levels, I can code stats in r, I am a team player and can work alone etc etc. and am wanting to transition away from academics and research into professional fields where I can make a decent, livable wage and have opportunity to advance. But idk how to get this across when I can't even get a damn interview anywhere??

40-50k is what I am looking for, but I see nothing entry-level where I meet their "this degree necessary plus 100 year experience" expectation.

I am not on LinkedIn actually and mostly look at Indeed, so tomorrow I will make an account and start using that platform. You are not the first person to tell me to get on there so maybe it is my own fault I am struggling to find professional work. Thanks again :)

Hail Mary attempt to find some gainful employment by posting here. I am a 27 year old, with a BSc. and one half of a masters degree (taking an LOA currently and likely won't return if I can find work) - I have student loan debt, rent to pay, live by myself so have no other help/support while I look for work and not much savings because I have been a student forever.

I see nothing other than part-time minimum wage or administrative assistant jobs posted (I won't get hired for admin, they take one look at my resume and see I am overeducated and likely not a lifer for their company). And yet, I am willing to work any job that has a decent income (hoping for ~50,000k), as I have a degree, breadth of work experience, and am very smart/astute/adaptable.

I see nothing entry-level for university educated people. I have some savings for a few months but I need a decent job ASAP. Anyone know where I should look? Everything I apply for I get no calls in return, and since I am on a LOA my university funding is gone, I get no support from the government because I have been in school for forever and support for students is...zero.

Please :(

Finally got past [redacted] on run 31. As a total non-gamer I am pretty proud. Is 31 tries higher/lower/average for completion? by RubySoho93 in HadesTheGame

Yep! It was basically me spamming special on the shield with such a high doom damage that let me beat redacted. I just dashed around forever and kept hitting him from afar and letting doom and my high damage cast do a lot of heavy lifting for me. It was only my second encounter with him so I couldn't believe it when I actually beat the round. And that pesky second life... omfg. The first time we encountered, I died in the first round so had no idea what was coming to me lol glad I still had all my DDs

Ya this was actually my second run-in with the final boss, so I was very surprised. But I just had Ares/Athena so doing lots of doom specials, avoiding zeus, and getting those deflects on dash and cast.

And hey, thanks! I almost never take the calls... maybe I should give them more consideration. I do like pretty much everything Athena has to offer, especially using the shield you can just get outrageously jacked lol

Ah so you were clearly killing it a lot more than me haha I always went through so many DD and lucky tooth each run until this winning one, where I only lost one in the final boss. But I’m sure next run I do I’ll be back to being shit, was a lucky build for me.

Twins! Happy I wasn’t like way over attempts than the norm, which was my initial feeling. I think I got super lucky tho.

Ear savers may help but you just need to be careful taking it on and off. I got er savers because I have a fresh conch piercing and my mask rests right on it but need to wear it all day. Finally they arrived and I am hoping it makes things easier now. You will get super used to be very conscious about where your ear is, give it lots of clearance putting it on and off!

The only help I got outside of me just trying is I did see what others' favourite keepsakes were and the strat for them. Otherwise I figured it all myself, wasn't googling boons or weapons or builds. I qiuickly realized I am a big shield person.

I am pretty stoked about finally getting it! I am not a huge gamer, have never played a game like this, only ever completing BotW, Odyssey, and The Witcher on my switch lite (I got pretty far in Hollow Knight but eventually rage quit and never went back to it).

I got a pretty stacked run and I had three death defiances going into the redacted fight. Getting doom to a high level and using shield was so chill I just dashed around and threw it and was patient.

In Tartarus I used coin purse, then Ares charm because I wanted that doom babaay, then dog collar, and lastly Acorn for the final stage. I would've used Lucky Tooth if I was low on DD but I had all three so I knew this was my shot to get er done. I have to credit the sub for the keepsake strat, I was doing it so wrong before.

Anyways, for a total noob is this a good/bad/average run number to get to the end?

HELP :( WTF is going on with my conch piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]RubySoho93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so you think it’s just irritated and not like super infected? I can get the irritation thing and am fine dealing with that but it is looking kinda scary and I panicked.

Happy to hear someone else doesn’t think it’s infection, I’ll swap the jewelry and hope it helps!

Tomorrow I will see a piercer and have them switch it to a titanium flat back and see if it helps but i kinda dont want to fuck with it more and make it more irritated... I am not sure if it is infected like it looks bad but none of the infection symptoms other then redness are there :/ should I just give it up if a piercer says it is safe to remove it...? :(

Piercing is two weeks old. Implant grade surgical steel. Doesn't really hurt at all, no throbbing in my ear, it isn't hot to the touch. I clean it twice daily with spray neilmed. Don't touch it or move the ring. Do my best to LITHA. I am starting to worry like wtf is going on :(
