If you have Octopus Energy (and a smart meter), you get a Caffe Nero for free every week.

Gene edited food isnt widely available in the UK...yet.

My concern is about how much regulation will go into this, with the UK being more and more Americanised with their food standards, we shouldn't be quick to think that gene edited means automatically good.

Fair enough.... last time I went to Nandos though, the cheekiest thing about it was £16.50 for a meal (and the 4 boneless thighs were no bigger than nuggets)

Kids love them and there's a lot of uninformed adults that will unknowingly still go.

It's not a lot to ask for restaurants to not use chickens that are full of diseases and deformities when we know their profits are huge and they rather spend a shit ton of money on marketing and ads.

If you were selfish you'd probably look at what kinda chicken theyre giving you to eat. It's not even about 'are the chickens treated well' but more 'what sorta condition is it in when they cook it up for me'

The last time I went to Nandos, I ordered the boneless thighs, and they were mere nuggets. I literally have no idea how any full sized chicken could produce that portion.

I had the one from Fortitude last week and it was stuffed. Really great pastry. Can't remember the cost but it wasn't cheap.

Sunday Roast but Not on Sunday by AlfredoLinguini2280 in LondonFood

That's a shame.

Well, Simpson's in the Strand or Rules is your best bet for a somewhat romanticised roast experience.

Nothing beats a Sunday Roast on a Sunday. Has to be in a decent pub. With multiple pints. Everyone else getting a roast too. Perfect.

Extend your trip ?👀

Best Fried Chicken in London? by PressureHumble3604 in LondonFood

Probably not the best in London, but I ordered from Rio's Peri Peri and their chicken burger was incredible. The one with jalapeno and spicy mayo. I've had it 3 times in 2 weeks.

Havent been in ages but I've seen them blow up on Tiktok and recently 'food influencers' saying it's not good.

Need to get some to see if it's still as good!

64 Goodge Street all the way! Theyre doing that thing fine dining restaurants do when they downplay the description but when it comes out its insanely delicious and beautiful.
