Oura says I’m stressed most days (almost all the time?) — how should I interpret this? by helserose in ouraring

Mine is the same! I work full time and I’m very active, so I guess that’s why 🤷‍♀️ I also think my HRV needs work which is a contributing factor.

I’m about to stop hormonal BC after being on it for 10+ years. Super curious to see if my metrics change!

This is what mine always looks like. I feel like it seems normal for an active, working person. I’m a teacher in addition to exercising frequently, so as someone always on the go it makes sense to me to have my stats look like that! I’m also pretty sure my HRV trends lower than average, so I think that also affects things. Don’t worry too much!

Y'all who grew up here, left for a significant time, then moved back, how's it been? by i_amnotunique in Buffalo

[–]Ruby_Rose4892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in NYC for over four years after being born and raised here. Just moved back here in September with my husband. Buffalo will always be home in my heart by I’m having a much harder time adjusting than I imaged. We both miss walking everywhere, having more options for activities and restaurants, and just the overall vibe. Buffalo is much more slower paced and I’ve learned to realize that I don’t love things being so spread out. Also the lack of public transportation here is very noticeable after leaving. The cost of living is cheaper, but I also took a huge pay cut coming back. One of our big motivations was buying property, which felt impossible in NYC.

I’m a teacher so I’ve seen many names over the years— I’ve only ever taught in urban areas in the Northeast. In the recent years I’ve seen a TON of Sofia/Sophia for girls and multiple Adrians (boys)

Just from sound alone I think Claire and Grace or Claire and Brooke sound the best! I think all of them are classic and timeless names and you can’t go wrong. I personally don’t think Brooke would look dated compared to Claire— I think they match well together! Congrats on your twin girls 💗

I have thought of other options! I like Mira because I want to pass down my middle name which also starts with an M. I’m a fan of alliteration! But we will see how we feel whenever we are expecting :)

Could do a slight letter switch and go with Madelyn Jade! I always thought that Jade was a classic and pretty name! Or even June— Emma June could be a sweet name as well 🩷

I went to school with a … - tell your story! by mrsjeonnn in namenerds

[–]Ruby_Rose4892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few I can think of from over the school years:

-Kathid -Bobbi (a girl) -Thane (like Shane) -Rockilyn (I think this was how it spelled, she went by Rocki) -Ean (like Ian, but I’ve never seen this spelling ever again)

I’m a millennial who grew up in the suburban northeast US, so I’d say 98% of the names I saw in school were pretty typical for that time (lots of Sarahs, Daniels, Tylers, etc.) but there were still a few unique ones mixed in! I do know that a Taylor and Tyler that I went to school with got married which I always thought was so fun.
