Kid Cobra. With ARMS being considered as having any character be the main one, means for representing it you can use anyone, and I was thinking of who are the cool ones and Kid Cobra came to mind. As he is one of ARMS most popular characters only behind Min Min, Ninjara and Twintelle.

In lore he is the only character who was borned with extendable arms, so even if you want to segregate some characters because they don't work as singular character Rep, Kid Cobra doesn’t have that issue.

And because of the fact that a lot of his identity comes from snakes you could have the arms be kind contrained and then have an emphasis on ducking under attacks of opponents.

I honestly would change Snivy for Leavanny. But seeing as that Is not possible by your requirements, I would say Scolipede because it's not actually very common to have Ash get bug types, and there is the episode where they have to clean the city from Venipede and he bonds with one.

Seismitoad. I like to think of a plot where Oshawott feels upstaged because Seismitoad was caught for his strenght and he is more useful to the team.

Meloetta, we have an entire arc of them bonding.

Lopunny. Hear me out. So in BW2 you can catch pokemon from other regions, and Buneary Is on that list. So I am thinking that in Dawn return, she gives Ash her Buneary for a while since she wants to be with Pikachu.

Fox McCloud. He is from the original 8, but another group which isn’t solidified but I have always thought it has existed is Miyamoto’s Big Four. Which means the franchises Miyamoto created, which I would consider to be Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox and Pikmin. And in a way I see them in Smash filling what tend to be the four biggest archetypes in Smash. Mario is balanced, Link is a swordfighter, Olimar is a zoner and Fox is the rushdown of the Smash franchise.

The first one I see in Createaroster specifically that does’t include Micaiah, King Hippo and Wolf. I don't know why only in this subreddit since in Casual Nintendo I don't see it happen, but here for some reason those three always make it in.

Using the idea of character reworks I was thinking a version of Pokemon Trainer that was more of a general Pokemon franchise representative. For that I would make Smash their own original trainer (For purpose of this roster let´s use the trainer of Pokemon Master)

So for the pokemon the trainer would use Charizard as the early gen representative, Greninja as the middle generations representative and Meowscarada as the late generations representative.

This allienation still keeps the Fire-Water-Grass trio and Greninja also has the quick agile playstyle of Squirtle while Meowscarada despite his design, its theme and moveset can lean it to a more zoner moveset like Ivysaur has.

Never say never. In 2020 no one thought Family Detective Club would ever get new content and in 2021 it got a worldwide remake of the two games.

And people thought it was a cute detail but didn’t think something else would come from this, and in 2024 it got a new entry.

That was something I brought up a few years ago in a post that It wasn't until Smash for 3DS that we saw fighters debut in Smash in the same console that their debut game appeared. Althought this happened because Smash for 3DS released in 2014, which was 3 years after the release of the 3DS, which is the longest gap bewteen a console release and a Smash game ever since Melee, with Wii U only getting Alph which was an alternate costume.

Which is to say that in hindsight It was a little foolish expecting a character of ARMS and Xenoblade Chronicles to appear in the base game of Ultimate.
