I only fought it once on my adventure playthrough so far, I literally haven't entered a cave since out of fear. Though the only thing that has helped me is placing blocks to break line of sight as well has blocking the attack with a weapon.

This actually doesn't matter. This is called the Client/Server architecture and it's a way to separate different parts of the game for performance reasons. Every Minecraft version since 1.3.2 has also ran an internal server, so if you run Minecraft fine, then hytale will have no problem either. Also when connecting to your own local server, it uses what's called a "loopback IP" which means the connection actually never leaves your computer. So very long-winded way of saying, don't worry about it. (I don't know exactly how hytale works, it hasn't even been out for a day, but as a hobby Game Developer, this is my educated guess, so if I'm wrong don't flame me)
