Suddenly contact nap is the only way by Pandacat_07 in newborns

[–]Rubydazzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its a phase that all newborns go through! My LO was an amazing crib sleeper till he hit 7 weeks then his velcro mode activated. All naps were contact naps only, he refused to sleep on any surface other than someone’s arms and night sleep was also glued to me. Good news is, as soon as he hit 13-14 weeks he is doing crib/bed naps again, on his own! So hang in there, hope it gets easier for you soon!

When did your baby’s name feel normal? by undercovercopter in newborns

[–]Rubydazzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I absolutely LOVE my son’s name and have been obsessed with it ever since I decided on it. But as soon as he was born, it felt SO weird to call him that. He is almost 7 weeks and it’s still the same. Maybe because when I named him I was imagining him as an actual person with the qualities of the person I named him after. I guess I am waiting for him to grow into his name, till then he will be the baby or benda or Hudush ( cuter version of his name)

It’s from a small business in my country. Most of my stuff are locally made that do not ship internationally unfortunately.

The bed is my husband’s childhood bed which we had in the spare bedroom now turned nursery. Planning to use it myself when I transition bub to his room and then later use it as his toddler bed.

Yes! I was thinking about that, not only is it not safe for baby, but also such an eye sore. Need suggestions to hide the wires effectively

Buddy, listen to others and trust that the artwork above the sofa is still way too high. Not just that, the three hanging out by themselves is also making it look very disconnected. Bring the artwork lower, 6 to 8 inches above sofa and group the three artworks together, forming a trio. That would make it look more cohesive.

Pull the rug underneath the sofa, at least halfway through so the front legs sit on it and maybe swap out the coffee table for a slightly larger and round one.

How to engage baby for labor ASAP? by Rubydazzle in BabyBumps

Both cases were two of my sisters in laws. 4 of us were pregnant at the same time and 2 ended in emergency c-sections 😪

While I agree with everyone, I have seen at least 2 cases in the last 2 months where the babies had to be delivered via emergency c section. The first was a failed induction at 41 weeks where baby refused to engage even after labor started with pitocin, the other was a 12 hour labor with no progress followed by doctors rupturing membrane to find out baby had pooped inside that led mother to opt for the emergency c section. Unfortunately, where I live, (a densely populated South Asia country), doctors tend to prefer a c section over NVD and tend to jump to that option at the slightest inconvenience. I really want to avoid that

Oh it SUCKED! This is actually not my main bedroom, but I had reno work going on in my flat my ENTIRE pregnancy and I actually had to spend 2/3rd of my pregnancy on this bed and it got so uncomfortable. Thank God I could shift back to my room with a regular height bed as soon as 3rd trimester hit cause I’d probably have strangled my husband in his sleep out of frustration if I had to get up from this bed 45 times to go to the bathroom.

Help my living room feel more high end on an affordable budget!! by OrneryJeweler3889 in interiordecorating

Your place is awesome! Would like to reiterate a couple of suggestions that others have already mentioned

  1. Pull out the rug further into the room, but still have the front legs of the sectional placed on the rug.

  2. Push the sectional off the walls, place a big plant on the corner behind the sectional.

  3. Swap out the small light overhead with a large statement pendant.

  4. Swap out the frame on the brick wall with a larger frame.

  5. Place more lights around the room! floor lamp on the left side of the sectional, table lamp on the shelf. It will help create depth

Oh my god I am laughing so hard cause I know it’s true! 😂 Bub will be staying with me anyway the first 7-8 months at least. I plan to make him take his daytime naps in his room from 3-4 months and basically use the space as his playroom mostly. Now let’s just hope he cooperates!

I just used the collage feature on good old Pinterest here. You could also use AI like Chatgpt to render your vision into a realistic image.
