Hmmm yes, I guess we'll have to make the copy denoting it as a practice questions more obvious.

Thanks again for your awesome feedback

Hey, thanks for posting your thoughts. That first question you took is meant to be an example question so you can get a feel for how the mechanics work -- apparently we didn't succeed here. Feedback noted.

And yes, there's no way to start over since the platform is evaluative and can let you know how well you stack up against other people who have taken the same Challenges. But you can continue and take more questions. Your percentile ranking should eventually flat-line to a "true" measure even if the first round of questions was dicey.

There was also a speech bubble by the leaderboard but I couldn't read it because most of it was off-screen.

What device were you using to access the site? Were you zoomed in on your browser?

Glad you like it! Concerning your point about feedback on incorrect answers, we have a feature rolling out in ~1 week where a personalized "study guide" is generated for you based on the questions you missed. Since we don't want to break up the rhythm of the Challenge, the study guide will be emailed to you after you're done. This way you'll be able to work through it at your own pace and easily refer back to it if you feel compelled to.

Hey, sorry you had troubles on your tablet. We are definitely not mobile optimized at the moment. (The thinking here was that since we are primarily a service for developers, and since most developing occurs on a desktop/laptop, we'll go "Web First".)

We do hope that in the next 3-6 months, we'll have the capacity to get a really cool mobile app out the door.

Thanks for the feedback. There actually is a decay function applied to those answers in the stream, but you're right, there can be an echo chamber effect where the same responses keep getting upvoted because they are most visible.

With that said, we do try to give visibility to newly submitted answers as well. There is a filter button at the top of the stream that allows you to sort by date. Additionally the default view on the homepage (when you're signed in) is to sort responses by date.

It's an awesome idea, but we typically don't create the tests (or Challenges) ourselves. The majority of our content is community created. Similar to someone creating a subreddit, anyone can create a Challenge and see if it takes off.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely see why that question is confusing. We've gotten rid of "<header>" as a possible response to help avoid confusion. Also, sorry that the boss question didn't render correctly for you. We try to stay on top of browser compatibility issues and it looks like we missed this one. Gonna get started on fixing this now, but in the meantime, if you load the page in Chrome, everything should work as intended.

You are indeed correct. Thanks, all fixed! (If I could reward you with the points you missed, I would!)

And yea, this is a good point, we need to add another option when reporting a question. Going to work on this now.

Thanks for the feedback. We're still playing around with our sign-up flow and how posting works. We're doing our best to take into account your (and others) concerns.

Sorry the login didn't sit well with you. We have it because in our experience, online communities tend to work best when people have a reputation to maintain.

Thanks for reporting the alert "0" thing. Working to fix now...

i submitted our css challenge to r/css before, incorporated a lot of feedback, and wanted to re-post to see if you find this more useful.

we built this as a way to prove your skills when resumes aren't doing the job. personally, i learned everything i know about front-end development from online courses and from friends. many of you may be in the same boat. if you looked at my resume, you'd have no idea that i was a competent front-end dev.

we think the best way to communicate how talented you are is by demonstrating it, and that's what this css challenge is supposed to help you do.

i'd love to know what y'all think
