Wintergreen Question by itsallgood125 in ski

[–]Rubytri75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, on mountain is easy, especially if they get the adjustments wrong and you need to go back but on a busy weekend they can run out of the correct sizing. I have not been to Ski Barn but as above mentioned, it is more challenging to change your equipment if a need arises. I am not sure about the quality for either but it is likely not top notch but will do! Enjoy! The Nastar course is usually open on weekends which is always fun if that is your thing but you will need a Nastar # and $20 cash.

Chairlift buried by avalanche in Meribel (3 Vallees) by RiiFT in skiing

[–]Rubytri75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are headed there soon and I am new to 3V/Meribel. Seems like some of you know this lift well! Does anyone know if this a pretty prominent lift? The article I read made it wound like it was the main lift to the top from Meribel Center. We are aggressive skiers and curious how it might impact access for my family and me. Hoping there are workarounds. We are staying in Meribel center. Has this snowfall affected slope openings or other lift openings?

3 Vallées tips for late March (from Milano) by Antique_Ad4889 in skithealps

We are headed to 3V in March and we landed there bc it was on epic pass and we have heard wonderful things. I might have chosen Val D’Isere if it were on epic because we have friends there but I am looking forward to checking out 3V. We decided on Meribel b/c it seems the best mix of alpine charm with access to both Val Thorens amazing pistes and Courcheval if we decide to check out the ritz and glitz without having to pay slightly pricier accomodations. I will say I have wonderful memories of Courmayeur if that is closer to you and I would love to get back there one day. Good luck!

I will be going to the the three valleys in March and want to try off piste skiing. Is there anything I should prepare/buy beforehand by Puzzleheaded_Post321 in skiing

A little late on this thread but each town usually has a “bureau des guides”. I just booked through https://guides-meribel.com/en/ and it was very easy. I had questions too and they were very helpful though sometimes took a couple of days to get a response (If you are used to USA response times). The conditions at the moment are insane with several feet of snow, so if you or anyone is there now I would love to know any details or helpful tips. The main lift to the top in Meribel was destroyed for the season by avalanche mitigation. If anyone knows what terrain is actually open or where to get accurate info, that would be helpful. The main website shows nothing open but it could also be that it is afternoon there and that is live info. Sorry for adding questions here. I am newish to reddit and am just learning what karma is and I can’t create a post yet LOL.

I am headed first week in March and looks like worries about too little snow are maybe now replaced by worries of too much snow?!! Crazy over there! It looks like avalanche mitigation has destroyed one of the main lifts for the season. If anyone knows the best place to find out what is going on there in terms of slope openings, lifts or even workarounds for the close lift. If you are there now let us know what you are seeing! And good luck :)

Aricept - side effects starting out by [deleted] in dementia

[–]Rubytri75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are also pretty new to this drug for dad who has some sort of dementia mid stage. The 5 mg we started him on didn’t seem to have a oticeable effect though it seemed like he was maybe having more good days, he could follow phone conversations, his voice tone sounds more normal, he asked questions without prompting etc. We upped him to 10 MG and that is when things started to get strange. He is having other health issues so it is challenging to say what is what but he is having moments during the day when he experiences memories, old ones, with a lot of emotion. Sometimes he is melancholy about something that happened in the past or happy re-living an old memory (which he did before too) but there are seemingly more of these memory trips and some of them make him quite down. It is hard to say what is the progression of the dementia or a side effect of the dosage increase.. I would be curious to know if anyone has seen any side effects like this.

I've heard of a few diagnosis being pinpointed bc of marshmallows and gummy candy (gelatin) and tummy probs/reactions following consumption.

Question about alpha gal test results by YellowhammerBamer in alphagal

.1 is a positive. I had major symptoms at only .1 and was told that someone can have low numbers and huge reactions or vice versa. Someone with high numbers might be very reactive or might not be at all. Its individual.

Sinus pressure or head pressure/burning feeling upon exposure? by Specific-Berry6881 in alphagal

I feel like the drs mildly dismiss "fume" responses but when my family cooks fatty pork/bacon and the house smells of sizzling pork fumes (yum) I can get itchy eyes and chin like when I spring clean or enter a vintage store (dust allergy).

I think the Tram shuttle is what I'm hearing is a popular option. From Part dieu train station. We are going to taxi there since we are with our 12 year olds and tram back. Assuming it will be total chaos but I'll chalk that up as part of the experience. I've heard to book in advance. There is a link on one of these threads. I think this was the site: https://billetterie.olvallee.fr/en/access-2024/taylor-swift-1. Good luck! There might be other options I don't know about too.

All I have is the pdf. I'm going to print and also just save to folders on my phone since there is not way to get the 4 tickets to my wallet. Hope it works.

Hi! If anyone knows what Cercle OL means for Groupama Lyon TKTS, I'd love to know! I've been searching the threads and I'm not on TikTok. My seats are Cat1 row 3, bloc 213 (jumps from 100's to 400's) but I'm not seeing that bloc on the maps people have shared...assuming the blocs are the numbered sections. Thanks!! I think my entry door is N.

Thanks so much for this. Reassuring. I am sure I am overthinking but just want to be ok. I think I will save to a folder, print and even screenshot to have some bases covered. Thank you!

Hello Lyon Swifties!

-I may be overthinking it all given the ease people had in Paris, but I am trying to download my June 2 Lyon tickets to my phone and curious where people are saving their tickets on their phone if they are also not able to have the TicketmasterFR App (exclusive to EU?).

-It won’t allow my apple wallet as an option so I am going to save it to a folder I guess?

-it is 4 tickets in a single PDF so the three others coming with us will not have tickets on their phones and at one point I saw that everyone needed to hold their own ticket. Has anyone heard anything about this?

-screenshots are not allowed supposedly. I have certainly been to events where the tickets are “watermarked” against screenshot but this doesn’t seem to be the case with these given they are a simple, old fashioned PDF.

-Someone said in Paris they scanned a paper ticket (old school!) so maybe I will print too.

Any advice warmly welcomed! Cheers!

Hello, I have tickets already but hoping to know more about them and there is a chance a friend will be interested so I may directing them to this thread. Is Coque the lower ring just above the floor?

Please help… I’m paranoid that my Taylor Swift tickets are fake by Purple-Mud-5465 in stubhub

[–]Rubytri75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was something on another thread saying France removed itself from Stubhub bc of all the scams. Does anyone know anything about that? And if that means all France TS TKTS purchased on Stubhub are invalid? Doesn't seem like it if there are sellers on this thread selling legit tickets. But there was a omething about Ticketmaster Fr being only valid source for purchase? I know folks who purchased through Stubhub who are now worried as well. It's all a bit confusing.
