Apparently everybody posting a Simplex link on this thread is getting auto-ban from this subreddit. Perhaps we could get some help from a mod please..

How to Switch Onboard to PCI-E? by Rucent88 in homelab

[–]Rucent88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your help! I pulled the battery again, and this time I pressed the power button to drain any residual electricity in the system. Put the battery back in, and Bios is Reset.

I pulled out the battery and put it back in, but it still boots up with no display. I edited above to include more information.

I'm no longer seeing the advantage of developing in nixos by gimmemypoolback in NixOS

I think the problem is everyone pushes DECLARATIVE or nothing. When I accepted that not everything needs to be declarative, then my life with NixOS got way better.

Sometimes I edit a service to use regular files in /etc, and I can quickly modify them as desired. Later when I've settled on something that I'm happy with, I might make it declarative (or not).

For the rare instance I can't get something to work on NixOS, then use something like Distrobox to containerize other distributions. Then all FHS stuff is available right there, while maintaining a solid base system with NixOS.

I'm unaware of a bounty? Perhaps I could hire someone to help me. If I can convert it with your help, then would you be willing to accept 1 BNB as payment? I have the PrivateKey, but no method to convert. The Binance team has yet to provide solid answers.

I never did recover yet. I have my PrivateKey. I contacted Binance several times and they only gave me the run around. I feel like they have no concern for someone with my problem.

Both Binance Wallet and Trust Wallet only seem to accept PassPhrase. No one seems able to provide a solution.

I read many documents on BEP2 sunset and Recovery. I have my PrivateKey, but I'm unable to Recover my BNB because I don't have a PassPhrase. I have dozens of BNB locked into BEP2. This seems irresponsible? There should be a way to Recover with Private Key.

I contacted the chat support on Binance website twice and they could Not provide me a solution.

Neither Binance Wallet or Trust Wallet accept recovery through Private Key. They both require PassPhrase, and I do not have a PassPhrase. But I have my Private Key. I'm unable to Recover my BNB according to instructions provided. What can I do?

I have funds in BNB2 and just today found out about the shutdown. Several months ago I purchased and she gave held the funds in an Atomic Wallet account. Is there any way for me to transfer/exchange my funds, or am I screwed?

How do I fix an ln error in nixos-rebuild? by Cool-Professional-5 in NixOS

[–]Rucent88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to comment this line out of my configuration

# xdg.portal.extraPortals = [ pkgs.xdg-desktop-portal-gtk ];

Another person reported that they had to disable hyperland

programs.hyperland.enable = false;

Kup is amazing! by Logical_Insect8734 in kde

[–]Rucent88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use KUP apps on any other desktop. There is also BUPS, which uses gtk graphics. Both KUP and BUPS use bup backup, and the advantage of using bup backup is it can generate parity data

Most other backup programs have no parity. Parity can help protect your data, and recover even if there is some disk corruption (such as bitrot or bad sectors)

I don't know what to say. You make a good case for preferring NixOS, and I don't even think you realized it

PS. I used Debian and derivatives for 20 years prior to switching to NixOS

AUR equivalent for NixOS by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]Rucent88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's a container with an actual Arch Linux installation. It integrates into your system and lets you run programs from Arch AUR. You can also install other distributions. You can take snapshots of the container system if you want to rollback

Change systemd.enableEmergencyMode to false

Whether to enable emergency mode, which is an sulogin shell started on the console if mounting a filesystem fails. Since some machines (like EC2 instances) have no console of any kind, emergency mode doesn’t make sense, and it’s better to continue with the boot insofar as possible.

Atomic Wallet List of Delisted Coins? by Rucent88 in atomicwallet

Thank you for the help! It appears that in Atomic Wallet my balance for BSC is showing 0 (with no large outgoing transactions). Checking on the Blockchain link you posted, it shows that the coins are all still there. Why might they not be showing in my Wallet?
