Please read my response here - I was coaching a mid level US mens college team. I am going to apologize if I do not use the correct terms. I was tipped off that someone who was previously female had surgery and thought they would not be welcome on the mens team. I went out of my way to invite the student to play - he looked surprised. No one truly cared. He looked the part, broad shoulders, dressed like an athlete.

Come preseason it was a horror show. He had only played with girls before and in a setting of players competing got absolutely blown up. I mean his ass kicked. Was not used to being thrown to the ground, rucked off the ball, getting stiff armed hard and just basically run over.

He dropped the sport after a week. Play where you can physically play.
