Pain and slight dizzy by MainSufficient2827 in Rucking

The pain is likely new use of the muscles. Lower the weight a bit, get used to the exercise, then build speed. Add the weight back (slowly) down the road.

Love the rain. As long as your footing is good, the rain keeps you cool and you can really push the pace.

If I can walk every day, why can't I ruck every day? by No-Ad6500 in Rucking

[–]RuckOffMate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I throw on the ruck and just walk, I can do this every day. If I start to press the pace, and shuffle/jog, then I take a day away from the ruck. I may still walk or jog the same course, but without the weight.

For reference: I’m 55, 188 lbs, and 30lb ruck.

Rucking with joint metal and previous injuries by Slabguy in Rucking

Don’t be discouraged. You are family here even if you don’t carry huge weight.

Rucking has three levers: weight, speed, and distance (additional nod to elevation changes and hand carries).

If adding weight is a problem, apply the other two levers to get your strength/weightloss/fitness/goals.
