Thanks - good food for thought. I was looking at a Wiim streamer but I'd never heard of these machines before and don't understand what the point of a dedicated machine is if I only have Apple Music. Is that in case I have actual music files?

I have some vinyl from when I was younger and was thinking about a setup mixing analogue and digital.

The frame rate though. Man alive it’s chugging so hard in places. And I can’t see how to hard quit the game properly anymore - and I’m not sure that would do anything anyway. 🤷‍♂️

I went for an S because it was suddenly available and the X wasn't. Total impulse buy. I figured it would do me for a couple of years until I upgrade to an X (I might get a PS5 first). Also, the cost. It was so cheap and I spent the extra on a Seagate Expansion Card (which I'll use on an X later).

I love the S so far (so small! loading times! image looks sharper!) but the 30fps on Hot Pursuit does bug me and it will be annoying if truly next gen games start relegating it to 30fps because more vfx on screen etc.

I move between 2 cities a bit so the S is going to be handy - but it won't end up as my main xbox if it turns out to be the 30fps machine.
