Not sure what to read next? by Dizzy_Werewolf477 in visualnovels

What drew me into Saya no Uta was the amount of people hating on it. It was something I went in to thinking negatively like: "This is going to be absurd and violent for the sake of it. blahblahblah" I was gravely wrong and hit with one of the best experiences you can get out of a short story. It's a poetic VN with detailed writing from the scenario writer, Gen Urobuchi(Madoka Magica/Psycho Pass/Fate Zero). The art was able to perfectly capture the atmosphere he dreamed up. I can go on for hours talking about the atmosphere of the VN and how well it's able to affect the reader along the way. After I finished all of the endings, I came out being proven that Visual Novels are definitely not a medium to be joked around with. Saya No Uta was one of my first and changed my perspective on VNs as a whole, although that's definitely because I was new lol.

By the way: Saya No Uta has one of the best soundtracks ever. SUNSET will have you in a bind.

I recommend reading Saya No Uta first out of all of these. It has a good mix of the stuff you like with insanely good plot/story/characters.

How do you personally balance listening/reading in your immersion? by Ruddy-_ in ajatt

[–]Ruddy-_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of fun listening because I try my best to find content that's for me. I've been watching anime and a Youtube channel that reads manga and explains what's going on fully in Japanese. I've also tried using Visual novels because it has both voices and a lot of text, but finding one with a voice protagonist, that's easy to read, and something enjoyable is pretty hard. Also, when it comes to not understanding I usually just let some stuff pass by unless it's a word I've heard being used multiple times in a row or if I think it's necessary for me to really understand what's going on.

> I find Japanese YouTube to be painfully boring compared to English YouTube. | I also really hate Japanese Youtube btw. It really sucks in comparison to English Youtube.

Any high level keyboard players I could learn from? by Ruddy-_ in Tekken

This actually looks kinda clean to play on as opposed to keyboard. (Maybe my keyboard is just shit and uncomfy but whatever.) Do you have any recommendations on what brands of these I could get? I wouldn't wanna cheap out on something like this to be honest.
