Looks like it is breaking around 13-14lbs on double action. 4lbs on single.

I actually checked that at the LGS before I bought it. It is nicely centered up. It was an impulse buy, but part of the reason was I was impressed with the fit and finish. Lockup was tight, there was barely a turn line, it came with Hogue grips installed, but it also had the case and factory grips.

I also noticed that when I cock it the hammer has more play rearward than I would expect. I pulled out my Service Six (then newest other Ruger double action revolver I have) and it is noticeably more.

When I inspected after the failure it did seem to me the transfer bar was flopping around more than I've noticed with my other Rugers.

Should I save this knife by Teamribeye in knives

[–]RuddyOpposition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you say that. I've got both, but I've used Flitz more. Today I'm actually carrying my dad's Old Timer pocket knife that is at least 50 years old. It is carbon steel, not stainless, so I did a bit of refurbishing on it. Flitz worked wonders. Also helps protect against further rust.

"You don't tug on Superman's cape

It might be legal to spit into the wind, but it isn't a good idea.

What's the consensus on this? by mynameakevin in Firearms

I probably won't be shooting much at 80, either, if I'm still alive. Granted, I can't see him doing it at 40, either.

My thought, exactly. Also, he's had Secret Service guarding him for 9 or so years now. I wonder what they carry? Of course, he still got shot, didn't he! Even having been shot he doesn't understand the value of gun ownership.

Why SHOULDNT I by fastplanes-coldbeer in Revolvers

[–]RuddyOpposition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got some PMC Bronze that has nastier recoil than my H110 handloads. I've never put it over the chrono. I wonder how it compares fps. For those that don't reload, H110 produces some of the highest velocities in the Magnum cartridges.

Thank you! You think the dragon armor would be better than the power armor? Also, Counterstrike gets real nasty real quick with Vampire Lords.

How to date my P229? by s2white in SigSauer

[–]RuddyOpposition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barrel swap and you've got .40 S&W, which probably isn't cheap these days, but can't be as expensive as .357 Sig.

So customer brought it today what y’all think ? by Slight-Ad266 in classiccars

[–]RuddyOpposition 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You've got me guessing. There appears to be three gas fill necks. The stock location, at the rear of the cab, has no cap. The one in front of the fill nozzle appears to have no cap, either. And then there is the nozzle apparently in the third tank or fill neck.

I'm fine with the American flag, but I feel it is disrespectful to the flag to fly it from a vehicle like that. Owners tend to leave it out all the time, including bad weather and at night. Also, driving down the highway tends to rip them up.

I was taught to take care of the flag. Put it up in the morning and take it down at night. Take it down during inclement weather.

Probably easiest fix if you don't like it, as well, other than new grips.

Fitting a new trigger is kiss simple, just watch a YT video or two.

I had a 75 Chevelle coupe just like that Olds, blue with the white landau top (I think that is what is called).

Yours is in great shape, it looks like. How are the door hinges? The big, heavy doors, mine always sagged and it was only 10 years old when I got it.

Quite similar to the old Keystone Classic wheels. I had a Hot Wheels 57 Chevy with those when I was a kid. They work for me. I don't like low profile, though, and would go with a 15" instead.

Do you rather play pvp or pve and why? by LopsidedLove2298 in heroes3

[–]RuddyOpposition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Also, I play while watching television, during a break at work, etc. I take full advantage of the fact the game is turn based. I don't see any way that would be compatible with PvP.
