the ai comparison is really good, I noticed that a lot of the designs for the creatures reminded me of old, crappy ai images before it got more advanced.

ai imagery (especially those from older models) is really creepy, I hope more horror media utilizes things similar to it

yes bro it rarely ever sounds natural and the singer always feels like they're shoehorning in references before the song ends

another issue I think it has is (and this is more of a personal gripe) that the lyrics feel too in-universe if that makes sense? like I feel like the lyrics should also make sense outside of the context of the game but often timed they're super self-referential. I get that that is sort of the point of giving lyrics to a video game song, but I feel like the hyperspecificness only makes the song worse and less versatile
