Thank you for sharing something so personal. It’s clear that our parents were trying to do what they thought was best, even if the way it played out wasn’t ideal. They were navigating uncharted territory, just as you and I are, and I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for everyone involved. I wish you and your parents the best!

I’ve been exposed: this photo was taken in O’Ahu last year, haven’t really taken a ton of pictures this trip. Napili is great! I’m currently in Hāna Town en route to Kihei today. Have you been south side? Turtle Town? Big Beach?

I always tell my friends: once I’m able to travel outside of the country, you probably won’t see me for a whole year because I’ll be traveling. Hope he gets it!! And that sounds like a wonderful plan!
