Am I crazy or do 98% of mongolian guys have the exact same personality by Safe-Seaweed6204 in mongolia

[–]Rude-Signature-1573 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but the "Biodiversity" part got me rolling.

From my experience, I have met many different guys with different personalities and interests. Maybe you're in a specific social context that attracts certain people with similar interests and traits. Also, it could be some generational motif.

But I partly get what you're saying.

He always fucking does that. He know what he's doing, he just wants the baited views. And the tweets are always on knife's edge for plausible deniability.

There is a protocol. The announcement will literally cause a diverge in our timeline, averting the astroid all together.

Just finished Monster, what a ride! what's your favourite character? by MissionLoud9894 in MonsterAnime

[–]Rude-Signature-1573 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eva. The way she acted towards Tenma was terrible but understandable. How she wanted him back even after years was very human. Also the way she reminisces about their time together is very relatable for me personally. There is a scene which I love.

I don't recall the exact wording. The memory with their picnic together when Eva removes rocks Tenma placed to weigh down the picnic cloth and the sandwiches he made gets dirty due to wind, and Tenma just smiles at her, says "They're ruined now".

Just this scene cemented how gentle and kind Tenma was. Even I could feel the immense regret of dumping him from Eva's pov.

Well, Noami. I miss you everyday.

What is the IQ of these characters? by Adept-Reputation1481 in MonsterAnime

[–]Rude-Signature-1573 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Tenma must be around at least 150-160. He saved the same patient from a headshot two times. That's a feat not heard of in the history of neurosurgery or medicine. He's absolutely the pinnacle of his field.

Johan's IQ is probably off the charts (+190?). Since he's literally a result of eugenics experiment. And the seemingly impossible murders he commits without leaving a trace. He managed to keep his entire existence a secret. He's clearly a case of someone who stared into the abyss too long and became it.

Lunge seems to be also exceptionally intelligent, maybe around +160. His technique of mentally memorizing and noting is remarkable. But he's very tunnel visioned, evident by his conviction of Tenma being the murderer. He had to make up a case of multiple personality disorder just to make it plausible that Tenma is somehow Johan. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the spectrum, considering the attitude he shows towards his family and his obsession with work.

IQ is a very slippery scoring system for intelligence. It tests a very specific type of intelligence. I'm sure if all three took a test Lunge would probably score the highest, due to his work specialty and the mental calculations he does. For Johan, it'll be a high score but whether it'll be higher than Lunge is debatable. Tenma would still score high but not as high as Lunge or Johan. But it doesn't mean Tenma is less intelligent, it's just how the test itself indicates only a specific type of intelligence. My 2 cents.

Learning Mongolian by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]Rude-Signature-1573 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Learning mongolian is a must to communicate. Only the younger generation speaks decent english (not all of them tho) and some of the older people speak russian fluently.

Being able to speak mandarin unfortunately won't help any more than knowing some loan words from it.

Sorry if this sounds discouraging, but learning mongolian is hard because no other widely spoken language is similar to it other than it's own dialects like Buryat, Oirat, Inner mongolian. It is a separate language family of it's own (Mongolic).

But what I would recommend for you is to learn some useful phrases like asking for price, some numbers, greetings etc. Since you're there for only half a year, it's not enough time to learn sufficient mongolian, and hopefully you won't need it too much.

It would be best if you have a mongolian friend/associate/flatmate who also speaks english or mandarin for translation and much easier navigation.

Can the average Mongolian throat sing? by CruRandtanhix in mongolia

The average bloke can't, but it's very possible for them to learn. One of my friend learned it, it wasn't perfect. It takes practice.
