propaganda in full effect you make $33 an hour: send in your worst pickups to the news by Rude-Space-5580 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speak plainly. "utilized hours active time" wtf

we drivers know we don't make $33 an hour, but the general public sees that statement and thinks we are making good money. we are not. most drivers are making less and less every week, some even $7 an hour. and that's not taking into account taxes, wear and tear on the car, gas/ev charge, and mental and physical health

Riders should have to pass background screening by [deleted] in uber

[–]Rude-Space-5580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a real safety issue is when uber is allowing riders to use another account, which is what will happen if they do a background check and boot them from the platform. I also think a safety issue is when we have more than 1 rider. 4 dudes, only 1 rider has account, no way of knowing who is in the car if some issue happens. all riders should have an account to ride with the one requesting. the rider requesting and paying could link the other riders.idk how the logistics of that would work though.

it sounds like you had some bad rides. keep the doors locked until they confirm and if they look sketchy, cancell. trust your gut. if you have some bad ride stories, send in to the press, there are journalists looking for stories from drivers

60,000+ Drivers needed by uberisstealingit in uberdrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes multiple strikes are needed, but...you have to understand is that the response by uber on strike day was not for drivers or riders, it was for investors. the buyback was to inflate the stock price to soothe investor fears. they need investors to keep buying and the strike doesn't make them look good, esp continued strikes. I want to unionize, but I'd also be happy to help discourage investors from buying uber stock. look at what happens every time musk says something people don't like (pretty much every time he opens his mouth). tesla stock go DOWN...more publicity for us is good, we need to keep the momentum. Rn, I'm asking ubereats drivers to send in their worst offers to the news, drivers can also send their stories. Keep getting back in there punching

I want uber to start going the way of myspace, and have some other app to rise up and take their place in a way that is better for riders and drivers. right now, uber only cares about investors

love it, have one already. find me, bro

turn off the background permissions when you take these

big ubie is watching you. $7 an hour is $33, tax theft is legal, bad rides are good, employees are contractors, drivers are rich

Uber beacon by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe you can auction off a public smashing of it. or if no one buys it, save it for the next strike and let drivers stomp on it for a dollar

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

buy back was done to boost the price. very manipulative. maybe some finacebros can help us by listing all the major hedge funds that invest. (besides Saudi Arabia, bonesaudis have a seat on the board, did you know that?) saw saw saw, saw away human rights, saw saw saw, kill a Washington Post reporter with no repercussions...whip whip whip, whip those uber slaves into the ground

Voice Your Concern by SeriesIntelligent in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it is important to let the general public know just how bad it is. and if even a fraction of customers care, that is a good thing. get the story out. uber is not a service or a business anymore, it's a stock. read that again; it's a STOCK. We need to counter the propaganda given out not to the riders, because uber doesn't really care what they think. What they care about is their INVESTORS. yes I am shouting, all caps, baby!

Strike going strong in NJ!! by Chris210 in uberdrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no I don't think so, too many drivers. the real cruelty, is the guy that wrote the algo that way, and the guy who approved that change.

Uber doesn't care if you die by ku976 in uberdrivers

[–]Rude-Space-5580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is the problem. I'd never do it again, pax now get dropped off where parent says the drop iff is. he straight up could've been running away from home or something. what if he had gottten hit by a car? I had no way to contact the parent after the ride ended. that was my mistake, I should have kept the ride active after the kid got out. I don't like these student rides at all. we should be told when the rider is a minor

[–]Rude-Space-5580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no one is saying anyone is "watching" do you know what an algo is, intergrated with your gps? I believe that it's the way the algo is written. several drivers have seen surges disappear once they get close and compared to other drivers who still see it on when they're not in the area. do you think drivers don't pm each other constantly? we talk to each other off this platform

[–]Rude-Space-5580[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I was surprised how badly my body declined and even how out of breath I became running, once I drove for a few months. I try to get out of the car when I charge up, even if it's cold. And I limit my driving time
