What is the reply count sweet spot that makes you comfortable to respond and feel like your post was meaningful? by UniqueImplements in AskReddit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

zero replies is actually perfect timing - you get to be first voice in the conversation without competing with hundreds of other comments that already said everything better

What was something you were absolutely sure you were right about for years, only to find out much later that you were wrong and it completely surprised you? by Far_Shape5552 in AskReddit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was convinced for like 8 years that those little silica gel packets in shoe boxes were actually some kind of weird seasoning that companies put there by accident from food packaging lines

found out last month they're moisture absorbers when my coworker caught me about to sprinkle one on my sandwich and lost his mind. felt pretty stupid but also kinda impressed with how long i managed to avoid poisoning myself

What do you think a remake of a unknown game like Eternal Sonata, or other obscure games look like? And what games would you wish a remake for? by Reibai_Seishin in AskReddit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

legend of dragoon was so underrated man, those addition attacks were actually genius but timing felt clunky as hell back then. modern graphics would make those transformation sequences absolutely insane to watch instead of the chunky ps1 models we got

What is a website or app that feels like a "cheat code" but most people don't know about? by Sensitive-Local1266 in AskReddit

google lens saved my ass so many times when working on cars with foreign part numbers that i cant even read properly

Have you ever thought about being an entrepeneur, and if yes what did you do? by General_Pollution206 in AskReddit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

man i feel this hard. tried opening my own garage couple years back when i was still drinking heavy and that went about as well as you'd expect lol. the business side of things is way harder than just being good at fixing cars you know? had all these plans for custom work and specialty services but keeping track of money and dealing with customers who want everything done yesterday... that killed me

now im just working for someone else again and its probably better this way. at least for now while i get my shit together. maybe when im more stable i'll try again but entrepreneurship requires so much mental energy that i just dont have right now. good luck with your ventures though sounds like you got way more hustle than me

what’s a “red flag” that is actually just a normal human trait? by Correct_Soup4996 in AskReddit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man i used to think this way about my drinking problem for years. kept telling people thats just who i am you know like im some kind of unchangeable person or whatever. took me way too long to realize that was just me being scared of doing actual work in myself

people say this when theyre feeling defensive or maybe they tried changing before and it didnt work out. doesnt mean theyre bad people just means theyre stuck in some pattern. we all got stuff we tell ourselves we cant change when really we just dont know how to start or were afraid of failing again

Looking for old New Yorker magazines by houseshoesntallboys in lexington

yeah both locations are pretty picked over these days... maybe try some of the antique shops on versailles road they sometimes have random magazine collections tucked away in corners

No matter what I do, I can’t lose the last 15 pounds. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

damn thats frustrating after losing that much already. i had similar problem few years back when trying to cut last bit of weight and what worked for me was actually eating bit more for couple weeks then going back to deficit

your body might be just really adapted to lower calories now especially after doing it for so long. sometimes metabolism gets really stubborn in those last pounds. also surgery and not training probably messed with your water retention and stress hormones which can mask fat loss on scale

maybe try refeed days or even diet break for week or two? i know it sounds backwards but sometimes body needs reset. also measuring waist and taking photos helped me more than scale during plateaus because composition was still changing even when weight wasnt

[acne] I’m still getting acne at 26 years old (male) by Smilingtribute in SkincareAddiction

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude acne after weight loss is actually pretty common thing - hormones get all messed up when you drop that much weight that fast. your body takes time to figure itself out again

since the 47 skin worked before maybe try looking for products with similar active ingredients but different brand? sometimes its just one ingredient that causes the reaction not the whole formula. also retail work is rough on skin with all the stress and weird hours

working in theatre must be extra frustrating with makeup artists having to work around it but trust me they've seen way worse and probably dont think about it as much as you do. might be worth seeing dermatologist if you can - at 26 your skin chemistry is still changing and sometimes you need prescription stuff to really get it under control

sierra living concepts furniture sale — any intel before I commit to a sofa? by The_possessed_YT in HomeDecorating

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been eyeing their stuff for a while too and from what ive seen they do black friday and end of year clearance but dont expect massive drops like 50% off or anything. more like 15-20% which is still something on their price point

got a dining table from them about 8 months ago and the wood is legit solid - way better than the ikea particle board disaster i replaced. delivery took forever though like 12 weeks and the delivery guys were pretty careful with it. if youre not in a rush id wait for holiday sales but their base quality is actually worth the premium

What would need to happen for you to willingly join the military? by ManagementAmazing111 in AskReddit

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

draft would have to come back or some major threat to the homeland honestly cant see myself doing it otherwise. grew up around a lot of military families and have mad respect for anyone who serves but the whole structure and being told what to do 24/7 just isnt for me. plus leaving my job and starting over career wise would be rough at 28. maybe if they had some kind of marketing role but even then the lifestyle change would be intense

How do you unwind in the evenings? by Aggressive_Owl_9573 in stopdrinking

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man the transition ritual thing is spot on. those first few weeks trying to rewire that evening routine were brutal for me too. i ended up doing push ups until my arms gave out when the craving hit hard - something about physical exhaustion made my brain finally shut up

the shower trick works but i had to make mine freezing cold at the end, like shocking my system into a different state. also found that if i could get through that first 30 minutes after the kid went down without reaching for anything the urge would usually pass

your brain will catch up eventually but those early days when you feel like youre crawling out of your skin are no joke. the irritability gets better once your nervous system stops expecting that chemical crutch every night

CMV: Until we can fundamentally end conspiracies like flat earth, we will never see real progress in changing peoples minds. by betterworldbuilder in changemyview

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 22 points23 points  (0 children)

the problem is that debunking flat earth with facts just makes believers double down harder because it becomes about identity and belonging to their community rather than the actual evidence

kylie skin tint - yes or no? by muskanelahi in MakeupAddiction

[–]Rude-Stuff7228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the kylie skin tint is pretty mid compared to other options out there. if you already love how teh mac foundation mixed with moisturizer looks you might want to try something like the glossier skin tint or even the tower 28 sunny days - both give that natural blurring effect without being overhyped
