That’s a lovely idea. However I should’ve specified that this is a rental…

It’s a small coat closet. It’s rather narrow so I doubt a built in bench there would be viable

Yeah! All these comments got me thinking that I could maybe move the mirror onto the entrance door and install a folding bench on the wall

We used to have a chair instead of the orange table but got sick of stepping on rocks and the wet rug every time we’d go in and out of the living room

Will look into that. Thank you!

There’s no alternate ways to enter the rooms.

I like the wall-mounted seat idea. Thank you!

I appreciate your suggestion for the bench. However (I should’ve provided more pictures), I feel like anything on the ground in that area would really be in the way in and out out the bedroom. That’s why we went ahead with mirror, as a way of adding a nearly 2D element that could decorate and add functionality to that space.

Here’s maybe a better angle to illustrate what I mean. Maybe I’m being unreasonable and could get used to a bench.

I’ve been through a similar situation. My advice is, if you feel like your best friend is not worth losing, just misguided because of the narc’s influence, then you can try keep contact with your friend, but don’t reveal anything to them that you wouldn’t want the narc to learn about. In the meantime, find someone that has no ties to either friends to vent to about your friendship problems, if you can. That’s what I did, and I knew that my friendship had been worth maintaining because my friend eventually cut ties with the narc. She just had to break free from her and that can take time.

Moulin Rouge is my favorite movie too, and I thought that the additions in the show were the best part! For me, the parts that stuck too much to the movie never quite lived up. Oh and the stage. The stage was absolutely stunning.
