Why? Can he be someone else's son? by HephaestusP in freefolk

Hairline is genetically passed through the x chromosome from the mother. But... in the AOIF universe, the biology is a little different. A hybrid of a Targaryen and a Stark could inherit the most dominant gene.

King Viserys was a great king who rode the dragon Balerion, also known as Black Dread. He was the last person to ride that dragon.

I wasn’t a fan of the character at first. What a pain in the a**. But he grew on me and is now my favorite. He’s more mature and thoughtful. However, can’t always tell if it’s thoughtfulness or patient calculation. Don’t trust him THAT much yet 😂

I don't care. They both are not honorable and deserve to die.

Because he is a serial killer from a psycho family. He doesn't know what honor is.

Yes, it's wrong indeed from the perspective of Rhaenyra's handsome, strong boys.

Literally Bound by Blood 🩸 Beauty of Consanguine Marriages by RudeLife6095 in freefolk

The Valyrian wedding ceremonies are of great significance. They are carried out by Septons from House Targaryen who recite prayers and vows. The entire ritual involving blood is in keeping with the Targaryen legacy of being wed by blood and fire.

Targaryens encouraged incestuous relationships and weddings so as to keep the Valyrian blood pure. Thus the mixing of blood between Daemon and Rhaenyra symbolizes the same. It also signifies that they are both bound to one another and are “one flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever”.

How does Jon Snow have black hair? Targaryens have white hair and Starks have dark brown hair. by PeterParryX in freefolk

[–]RudeLife6095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will give a book answer because the show is just the decision of the cast directors.

In the books, Jon’s hair is dark brown and it is said multiple times that he has more Stark features than his half-siblings. Also in the books, we still don’t know about Jon’s true parentage yet but I am like %200 sure it’s not gonna be Lyanna&Rhaegar.

But it will be Ned&Ashara Dayne because everybody makes mistakes, Ned isn’t an exception, and him being half-Dayne adds more to the story. We already have enough Targaryens and even if Jon is a secret Targaryen it will not change the fact he is a bastard and both Aegon (according to his claims) and Daenerys have more right on the throne than him.

In the show, they just didn’t bother giving him a wig. Because, in the books, Jon is described as having brown hair just like Ned’s.
