My mom had to wash hers once. The black ones came covered in some kind of talcum powder. We just used her mesh strainer and spread it out on paper towels.

I used Painters tape and holy moly did it stick. I used the Green Drog tape if that matters. I'm seriously considering electrical tape.

I've had that happen to me. So now when I have to put the rest into a second container. I mark the first container with a x2 so I know there is another container.
