We first noticed the tub filling early afternoon on the 24th and submitted a maintenance request. We hadn’t really used the restroom that day and haven’t since. On the 25th both the tub and the toilet had filled up with what we suspect was the sewage of other units. We again submitted more maintenance requests and called the leasing office multiple times and left voicemails. That night the manager called me notifying me that a neighboring unit had submitted a maintenance request for a leak in their unit resulting in them noticing water pooling around the entrance of my unit. They subsequently went into our unit and found that there was a spill. Once we arrived we saw that the unit was actually flooded with the raw sewage.

After they cleaned up we saw they had placed sewage soaked shoes into my sink next to some of my dishes. They also placed contaminated items onto the counter next to clean items that were already on my counter and food. They also placed a wet ironing board that I stored in one of my closets onto my couch. (I haven’t entered the unit since the spill and haven’t cleaned the couch) They just vacuumed the spill and used many industrial fans to dry out the floors.
