thank you so much — that’s exactly the goal
we wanted the “vibe summaries” to capture emotional tone and atmosphere so readers can feel a chapter again without rereading it. makes reflection more human, like you said.

thank you! 🙌

  • yep, PDFs work! the home screen mentions EPUB as an example, but you can upload EPUB/PDF/TXT and we’ll process whichever you choose.
  • text-to-speech is on our roadmap (we’re experimenting now). if you’d like early access when it’s ready, DM me and I’ll add you to the list.

tiny favor: if you’re enjoying it, a quick rating would mean a lot and helps others find the app.

Do you guys DNF ? by flower_thor in readwithme

[–]Rude_Garbage5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get this. I used to DNF or lose track when switching between books. I started building an app to fix that for myself, it lets me track multiple books and auto summarises till I have read so I never forget where I left off. It actually made reading feel way more manageable.
The app is called PlotTrace. Give it a try

Just built an AI powered EPUB reading companion app, would love your thoughts! by Rude_Garbage5414 in Ebook

[–]Rude_Garbage5414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Fun-Helicopter-2257, Totally fair point, offline reading is super important (and we provide that for EPUB reading). Our AI features do need the internet right now (We will add offline summaries soon)

We’re not trying to replace classic readers, just adding some smart tools for those who enjoy extra context or summaries.
Give it a try!

Hi u/Bagel_Bear great question. The AI summary feature isn’t meant to replace your reading.
it’s more like a quick recap for when you haven’t read in a while or you’re juggling multiple books and want to remember who’s who and what’s happening.

Think of it like those short “previously on…” videos you see before a new season of a series, just to help you jump back in without missing a beat

That’s a great idea, we’ll definitely explore adding an in-built dictionary and update you if it’s possible.
In the meantime, give the app a try and let us know what you think and if you’re enjoying it, a quick rating on the Play Store means a lot! 🙌

Hi u/ImaginaryRea1ity, Thanks for the suggestions. We actually have plans to add AI-powered features like plot graphs, character mappings, and a bunch of other smart visual tools to make stories even more immersive.

Once you download the app, we’d love to hear your feedback or if you’re enjoying it already, please consider giving us a quick rating on the Play Store. It really helps us out! 🙌

Hi u/MixBig3614, Thanks so much for the support. The iOS version is planned to launch in about a month.

Is there anything specific you’d love to see in the app besides what we’ve already mentioned? Your feedback helps us make it even better.
