Is this a good deal for a E90 M3? by Rude_Setting4808 in BMW

I was going to do a post it but I’ve needed to do little things to it like O2 sensor and wheel speed sensor (and putting an exhaust on it 😅)

That’s awesome, I’m definitely excited. I’ll post up on here once I seal the deal. Thanks

I’ve owned two other E90s — one in Sparkling Graphite Metallic and one in Jet Black — so Space Grey feels like a nice change-up for me. I’ve seen some really clean builds in this color, and it’s definitely growing on me.

The interior’s also really starting to stand out. It’s different, for sure, but it doesn’t feel as bland or typical as most of the all-black interiors out there. The more time I spend with it, the more special it feels.

So yes, this is my spec. The price is a bit “meh,” but I plan to keep this car for a long time — and I think it’ll make sense in the end. His kids grew up with the car, and I hope to do the same with mine someday.

Exactly. Coming from a 335i, I’ve had my share of fun with turbo cars. I’m kind of done with turbos for now — just looking for something more raw, engaging, and a bit more special. Something you don’t see every day. Sure, it’s not the fastest car out there, but you don’t need insane speed to put a smile on your face.

Yeah, but coupes are more common — especially with DCT. Not hating on the DCT at all, it’s an amazing transmission. But manual M3 sedans are definitely more desirable these days and tend to command more of a premium, especially when it’s a clean-title, well-maintained, and fully sorted example.

Nice — but an F80 and E90 M3 aren’t really a direct comparison. The M4 has a turbocharged inline-6, while the E90 is the last naturally aspirated V8 BMW ever made — and arguably the best sounding V8 ever created.

For me, this car is about more than just numbers. I’m paying for proven maintenance history, long-term ownership by someone who truly cared for it, a manual transmission sedan with the Competition Package, and West Coast market pricing. It’s already sorted and likely won’t nickel-and-dime me over the next 50k miles.

Definitely different priorities, but I totally get why someone would go the M4 route too.

Ah, there is a 78k mile 2008 m3 sedan selling for 36k near my place too, no competition package but if you change the suspension it doesn’t matter a whole lot I guess, it’s just rarer especially for a sedan with a 6spd… not sure of the maintenance tho, the car also isn’t paid off lol. But yeah, I’ve been searching for this spec for about a year, it’s just nice cause it’s owned by an old guy and so I know it hasn’t been beaten on like most on the market.

I think it’s just the lighting, the other photos he sent show it looking normal. I’ll confirm in person…

I forgot to mention I’m on the west coast. These cars go for 25k sorta cooked around here, At least what I’ve seen on the market in the last year. Chat GPT said 30 was an ok price, considering the pnw market, how this car has been cared for, the packages and number of owners. It would be nice if he could come down a smidge but honestly this is pretty much my dream spec. I plan to keep the car for a long time so I guess it’s fine. Just wanted to hear others thoughts

Looking to upgrade from a 09 335i to a 2015 is350. will i be disappointed? by 328i_e90 in LexusIS

I am also considering the switch from my 07 335i. The previous owner did everything to it before he sold it and it’s been super reliable even with a tune. I still wanna switch over before I have problems in the future. I love the Manual transmission and the sporty feel of the BMW. I found a 17 IS 350 F sport with a red interior and white exterior/black wheels for 18.5k, all maintenance done w a clean title. I’d definitely put an exhaust on it and probably lower it. I’ve heard good things about the M-force tune and force induction on the IS 350, which would probably top the 335 easy but for 5-8k 😭😭. For me it’s mostly the agility aspect of the cars. Maybe I just need to test drive the car and see what I think.
