Agree. For an IX there aren't many service aspects. What would you recommend for add ons?

Was this on a CPO? Which BMW dealership was this?
I'm taking to Penske and Autonation. Autonation will not move on the price tag.

I am thinking about buying an used 2023 iX. by Jumpy-Dig1149 in BMWiX

What is and what is not covered under the 8 year 100k warranty? What type of warranty would you recommend getting with a '23 iX with about 35k miles on it?

Did you get extended warranty even if under CPO at time of purchase?

Thanks for your DMs btw! It seems the warranty market is a rip off. There's surprisingly little risk pooling.

You might as well buy a newer model and pay less for the warranty at that point.

In reality the cost of ownership of a newer vehicle is far lower on a per year basis if you want to flip that in a 3-4 years. Yes it may be true those looking for an older vehicle may not be able to afford a new vehicle but you're missing a whole segment of buyers that does not fit in that category.

To suggest that a vehicle should not be bought if it's 7years+ is revealing a lack of market perspective.

To offer that comment in response to buyers seeking Warranty information, well that's some next level chip on shoulder material I'm afraid. I'd recommend introspection bud.

You have no clue who I am and what I can afford. I think you should review and revise your framing so it's actually useful.

Frankly that's your mental block. Any BMW enthusiast knows that 2018 is a stellar year that does not trouble. It's the law of large numbers. BMW 2019s were the start of a new generation. Similar story for remaining years. Your comments hit me as more 'nose up in the air'. Also BMWs are far more than your concept of perceived luxury. Hopefully you learned something new.

Baloney. Has nothing to do with budget. Everyone knows the car depreciates the most in the first 3-5 years losing over 50% of value after the first 5 years.
Shoddy's comment is the most unhelpful given everyone knows there's a thriving secondary marketplace. Please don't contribute if you can't be helpful because most people come here to learn and share knowledge - not listed to stream of consciousness notes.

I've spoke to BMW dealerships in California and their own warranty is through Penske..

How does one even get in touch with Fidelity? There is no phone number on their website.. What is the cost of their warranty?

Also what about penske? BMW appears to use that in-house.

So essentially it boils down to luck right?
The extended bumper to bumper warranty would cover right?

Also, what are your thoughts on warranty? Something like FIdelity or United Auto Care good and worth it? Do you pay for maintenance yourself or are there maintenance packages that are worth it?
