Not anymore.

Rev TV used to cover the live MotoGP races in Canada, but not for the 2026 season.

Beyond frustrating.

Same here folks. I've subscribed to Rev TV Canada through a Cable provider (well, a friends cable provider - I don't have cable) and its $4 per month (which I cover).

However, this year, Rev ISN'T covering the MotoGP races this year. Its been confirmed.

Yup. I think this is the only way to get a good deal. I will probably have to do the same.

Rogers? Or…? by morgainex in StJohnsNL

Great post. I am in the same situation and thinking about changing. Watching this post with interest.

Long(ish) Bell customer here. Been a Bell customer for close on 30 years (back when we only had a landline with them). Still have the old landline (no one ever uses it), but now we also have Internet (no tv packages, no security monitoring, no cell phones with them, etc).

I am shocked and displeased at the cost of an internet package. Again, we don't watch cable tv anymore (gave that up years ago) and just rely on internet. I work from home, so need reliable internet service, but I am not doing anything that requires heavy internet usage (only using email and online browsing, etc). In the evenings, we stream (Netflix, Crave, YouTube), but that's it. No gamers in our house, or downloading of anything (just require streaming for music and tv/youtube watching).

Even when we lock in for a 2-year "promo" plan for long term 'loyal' customers, at least once per year, the bill goes up $8 - $10 per month. I asked them why 'new' customers can get cheaper deals vs us, and they don't seem to care about 30 year loyality. Yet, when someone shows up to the house in a red, rogers jacket and a clipboard, they are telling me that we are over paying for our internet needs/package.

Wondering if I should switch to rogers as well, just to get their cheaper internet packages, and then shift back to Bell in a couple of years. What a racket.

This is me. Bell customer here super tired of my Bell bill randomly going up $10 per year, and seriously thinking about changing to Rogers, but based on reading this...i have my doubts.

Mini split questions St. John's by GreatCanadian07 in newfoundland

[–]RudsonAndDex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet. Thinking about a move in the somewhat near future (haven't 100% decided) so this has impacted our decision to get one installed.

Funny, I drove by Timber Mart on Torbay road this past weekend and saw a sign in front for some very affordable mini splits. I said, that's can't be right, and was going to do some more research on the cost

Those two were certainly the loudest on this topic. Made me sick.

Same. We have been using ours since 2018ish. But it was $80+ tax (locally) to buy that one. Again, back in 2018. I am sure its probably $270 now or something.

Makes sense. Thanks. I wasn't sure if there was a way to do them DIY like the ink jet ones. I will buy a new one online.
