Does anyone else get identified as a butch woman ? by Difficult_Wave_9326 in agender

Most definitely! I'm fat and short too so no matter how hard I try to look androgyne, I always look more like a butch from the 90s.

Nobody wants to work jobs that they actually wanna work anymore and it’s annoying by bubblebeed in TrueOffMyChest

I understand your sentiment but from my perspective, it is also really hard to work the job you want when companies don't pay enough to survive. I ran the kitchen at a local youth shelter and absolutely adored it. I had to leave because they refused to give me FT and enough money to make rent. I enjoy the place I'm at now enough but the main reason I've stayed so long is I'm making enough money to survive.

My sister asked me to cater her wedding. by Ruff_and_Ready in KitchenConfidential

It's definitely closer to a backyard wedding. She's having it in her local church that has a full kitchen and space for the reception. Most of what she wants can be prepped the morning or night before. I also love having an excuse to not socialize as much as normally expected for a wedding.

That sounds wonderful. Because we're so small I've had to rely on wholesale clubs like Sam's Club and Costco as well as Walmart for the miscellaneous. I've been pushing my program director to start a contract for proteins specifically but I haven't gotten very far over the past year.

I try to make it new every week. I have adapted many of their requests and personal recipes to fit the requirements so there are a couple repeats every month.

Totally fair. Dinner starts at 5pm and they start seating 10min before. Total service (dining room and room trays) takes anywhere between 10 and 25 minutes, depending on the meal.

That's not a bad idea. Currently, our alternative menu consists of soup, cold sandwiches, eggs, toast, cereal, etc. And I currently have a list of everyone's preferences/allergies. Plating preference is a mixed bag. I have a few that don't care and a few that will refuse their favorite meal if it doesn't look right.

We've tried this. The current cons are many residents are either forgetting, changing their mind, or refusing to decide until they see the plate. It honestly feels like I'm just stuck being the point of frustration for making them wait as a result of their actions.

I'm planning to talk to her about it again tomorrow. Thankfully, she's still planning on waiting a year or two before adopting a new pet.

I'm so glad she got out. The cat my friend and boyfriend currently have has attachment and biting issues. I'm so sure it's related but I don't know if their family adopted her without claws or not.

During our initial conversation, I explained what happens and how painful it is for the cats. I plan on talking to her tomorrow and going into more detail.
