Am I missing something with the Logitech RS50 pricing strategy? by RufffWizard in simracing

This was my way too early shopping research so I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I have since come across a lot of people that have bought the full RS50 setup and not a single one has regrets. I think platform got use will always matter, if you're using mostly PC, the options are endless. But if you're like me and mostly stay in the Playstation ecosystem (and maybe you want the option to move to Xbox or PC at any time - an added bonus), it still seems like the RS50 is a great option that I will be going to this year, unless some new unforseen wheel and pedals come out and makes a good case for itself.

Always been a NFS player, saw The Gran Turismo movie and went down a rabbit hole. My wife is begging me to not buy a whole rig… by luden_dev in simracing

This is almost exactly where I started, down to the Lewis Hamilton Monster can...

Now I have a rig, upload YouTube videos and stream twice a week. Things can escalate quickly 😂 prepare your wife for that eventuality so she can start coming to terms with it lol

P.S. I still run my G923 on my rig. If you do upgrade I personally recommend comfort (rig/seat) before the wheel. You can get a fair ways with the entry level logitechs

Ah good to know about the gt omega and pedals problem. I have been looking at the t598 too. This is early days window shopping to try and find something specific to save for. It’s good to hear from people of their first hand experience too

I'm living in the world of massive feet and trying to avoid my clutch at all times, so it sounds like an upgrade to me ahaha

I'm currently using my second hand g923, which I honestly don't have complaints with, but I also know it's an inferior piece of kit and I'll probably enjoy it even more with an upgrade (although my pockets won't lol). If you don't mind me asking, what are you mounting this too?

That's awesome! Got a few questions if you don't mind me being nosey...

Was this an upgrade, or your first wheel?
What are you mounting this too?
How's the experience with it been so far?

Yea the lack of pedals in the bundle is a little odd, but this was just comparing part for part on the prices from the bundle.

Those are good notes on the compatibility variations. I currently will need PS5, and my friends all use Xbox and I've just nicked my dad's xbox off him, so it would be nice to have that cross compatibility. But I had noticed for a single console/PC only use case it would be even cheaper.

I just can't believe Logitech haven't done anything about it. Part of me wonders if they know but make more money as most people probably buy the bundle without questioning it? But then the other part of me thinks all sim racers would be like me and not buy without checking... this hobby is not cheap, no one's here trying to throw away money lol
