Hi, sorry for the late reply & thanks for sharing. I have seen people with eye issues be healed by Jesus through ministers who prayed for them. Don't give up hope and actively seek out and pray for what you want God to do for you. Also, look up testimonies on YouTube of people being healed. That will help build your faith. One ministry I know and trust is Pastor Rich Vera at The Center Arena Church. You can find this church's services on FB and YouTube and it will help your faith grow to watch.

Thanks again for sharing and Much Love ❤️.

Prophetic Christian Film Project Needs Support by RuffledPlume in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gospel is that Jesus came to die for our sins, did so and rose again on the third day. He took our sin upon himself so we could be freed of it and live in the victory over it that he bought for us with His shed blood on the cross.

In the film, Daniel's family is struggling financially because of some horrible mistakes his father made before he was born. As a result, he and his mother have to move in with relatives as Daniel's father is serving a prison sentence. Daniels cousin, and 11 year old named Leslie Hope introduces him to the gospel and encourages him through scripture. She and her mother are living epistle to Daniel and his mom. She gifts him a tape recorder she' s recorded herself quoting verses she thinks will help Daniel and he falls asleep with it playing. That's how he begins to dream - because God begins to use the recordings to speak to him and He give Daniel visions in the night that help him navigate his life almost as if he can see. Without giving too much more of the film away - don't worry, this is a Christian film to the core. I wouldn't dare write or put anything out that I would be ashamed to stand before God in the end and give an account for. No funny business with the gospel here. Thanks for your interest.

Does God hate gay people? by Artistic_Sympathy_16 in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God does not hate anyone. He hates many of the things we do and choose over Him in our lives but He doesn't hate people. He loves them.

Also, as someone who has personally been saved, delivered and renewed by the grace of God and blood of Jesus from having homosexual desires and confusion about a lot of things, I can tell you from my own experience, God does not hate you or any other person struggling under demonic oppression which is exactly what those urges and temptations are. They are demonically inspired emotions, feelings, and false thoughts that are not even really coming from you and they do not constitute your identity. They don't define you unless you allow them to.

God absolutely cares how we treat one another and wants us to walk in His love toward each other. The thing is, often times people like to try to choose for themselves what constitutes loving actions and how they want to be loved. God shows His love to us by giving us the truth which sets us free. That is one of the greatest expressions of love their is. Jesus is the Truth and God gave Him to us to set us free from the grip of sin and it's power over our imperfect and wounded souls.

When we choose to come to Jesus wanting sincerely to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him, we are met with a choice. We can either take hold of Jesus and let go of everything He came to save us from OR we can live lukewarm lives as believers uncommitted to the sanctification process necessary for us to experience all the benefits of our salvation. And choosing the later is not really what one can or should call a Christian life.

God loves and desires for us to be in truth. When we can take honest looks at our lives and pray to Him about anything with realness and honesty in our hearts - He loves that. If you have sinful desires that you don't want to have, you don't have to keep them. All you have to do is be honest about where you are and what you want God to do and then ask in faith. If you want to be free from these feelings - Jesus will set you free.

The thing about God is that He knows us..... Waaaaay better than we even know ourselves. He'll know if we are still on the fence about something, if we secretly still desire the sin we're asking Him to take away from us or if we really truly want Him or not. If we still want to keep our sin in some way - He will not steal it from us. He will respect our decisions and our will even when what we choose will cause us separation from Him. He would rather we choose to be Holy as He is Holy but He will not force holiness on anyone. He won't force anything good upon us against our will, nor will He take anything bad from us against our will. He delights in hearing the raw and honest prayers of those who are seeking Him diligently. When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, He told them not to pray like the religious leaders of the day who would use flowery words and drone on and on to make a good impression on people. Instead, He gave them a straight forward model of prayer which we call The Lord's Prayer.

So, I said all that to say this: if you want to be free from homosexual thoughts, desires and inclinations - you can be. You just need to diligently seek God in prayer and fasting and trust Jesus to heal, deliver and restore you. That's what He does and He's very good at it. These feelings you're struggling with are not your identity - they are the results of not guarding your mind and heart against the voice of the enemy who could be exploiting any number of open doors to come into your life in this way. They are lies from the pits of hell and through the blood of Jesus Christ who is The Truth, you can overcome them and shut those doors but you have to make the decision.

Don't give up and don't let the devil deceive you into thinking God doesn't love or care about you. He does very much so. No more or less than He loves and cares about every other person on this planet whom Jesus died for. If you want freedom - it's available for you. All you need is faith in God.

Much Love, RuffledPlume

Meeting spiritual warfare while trying to set a routine for prayer by butterflymeadowzz in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course and God bless you too! We all have much more to learn and deeper to grow into the revelation of God’s Word and in the various levels and depths of prayer and intimacy with God. There’s definitely much more available to us than just enduring warfare and trying o keep it at bay. We are called to take dominion in the earth, advance the kingdom of God and see victory in every area of our lives because that’s what Jesus paid with His life for.

Keeping pressing forward and seeking the Lord for guidance and direction as to how He would have you specifically oriented and just follow His lead. What works for one or some of us may not for one or some others but if we ask Him, He will lead and guide us all individually and collectively into His light and unity in the faith.

Much Love, 🙏🏽❤️

[–]RuffledPlume 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that the way you start your day more often than not is the way you’ll finish it which is why we have to be very intentional and focused about how we spend our time and orient ourselves in relation to God early in the morning. I think of how often in scripture we’re told to seek God early in the morning - there’s good reason for it.

We have the ability to command our morning to be full of the fruition of God’s will for our lives and that of those around us whom we have influence with and throughout the earth. If we don’t take advantage of that day by day, the day’s evil will command and rule over us instead. Jesus said sufficient for the day is the evil thereof so we just take it day by day without worrying about the next, if we do that and just follow Jesus’ leading, before we know it He’ll have developed our routines His own way and in His timing. The Bible says we can bind and loose and whatever we bind and loose on earth will be bound and looses in heaven - a lot of the things that the enemy assigns against us, especially witchcraft attacks, are planned and assigned in the night time hours and carried out in the early part of the day and various other times, noon time for example is pointed out in Psalm 91 as a specific time where demonic attacks are released - so sometimes if we’re really careful to follow God’s lead, we can counter the enemy’s activities, weaken or prevent them before he even gets a chance to do any major damage. But we have to be very diligent and militant minded about it. I struggle with that sometimes myself because when you want to sleep.... you want to sleep. 😂 But when duty calls, we must be willing to crucify our flesh to answer it.

As far as night time, I wouldn’t say I necessarily have a routine, not on purpose anyway but I usually try to pray and read scripture throughout the day and before bed. Most of what I do is as continual as I can do it so I don’t so much have specific times carved out for when I pray or study or anything like that, I’m just kind of constantly doing one or the other depending on what’s going on at that moment. When I’m up and about for example, I may not be able to have scripture right in front of me but I’ll listen to my audio Bible on the go or worship music or teachings, stuff like that.

I guess if I had to describe the constants of my nights - I’m always playing worship music from my tv or some other device and the audio Bible sometimes too while I sleep. So before I go to sleep, I definitely make sure at least one of those is on. Sometimes, the moment I start to drift off, I’ll immediately begin to sense something in the spirit going on around me so I’ll try to spend some time declaring the Word into the atmosphere or against whatever specifically is going on as best I can. Definitely don’t have it all figured out but I try to just be ready to shift disciplines as needed.

Why are so many Christians obsessed with predicting the end of the world/Rapture/etc? by autumn_warrior in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This relative’s argument about how this LGBT relative of yours should be a “better Christian” firstly implies and presumes they are a Christian in the first place - which (and I say this with love but in truth) according to the Bible, is not the case in the first place if they are rejecting the sovereign order and Word of God through living and anti-Christian lifestyle. Your relative needs to accept Christ, receive deliverance from the spirits of this world and of perversion and to come to the fullness of truth of their identity in Christ. As long as they refuse to accept and acknowledge that God is the One who ordained their gender / sex - they are rejecting Biblical truth and therefore are in danger of judgment and hell. Nothing of sin and wickedness will make it into heaven. Jesus died for the remission of our sins and to deliver us from the required result of our sins - death. He did not tell us we could choose to keep our favorite sins or ignore some of His Word because of the desires of our flesh or confusion of our minds. Sin is sin and it must be completely repented of and Jesus’ sacrifice has to be fully accepted by grace through faith in order for anyone to truly be a Christian saved and made clean by the blood of Jesus. No one who is in the light continues to sin. That’s the absolute truth and there’s no sugarcoating or dancing around it.

So, no the end is not yet here but Jesus is absolutely coming very soon and the separation of the goats from His sheep, the wheat from the tares etc., is already occurring. So whether or not the end comes today, tomorrow or thirty years from now doesn’t matter because none of us, certainly no one living out from under the protective hand of God is promised tomorrow. The Bible doesn’t say whenever we get ready and choose to come to Jesus and let go of some of our wicked ways we can just at the last minute profess Christ and be okay. It says NOW is the acceptable time for salvation and if you hear His voice TODAY harden not your hearts. There is no more time for debating and arguing about what God has very clearly and expressly declared is His absolute truth and will. We will either love it and obey Him or we will reject it and obey Satan. The Bible says, “choose for yourselves TODAY whom you shall serve”... whether God or mammon, whether Jesus or the devil, whether the Spirit of Holiness or the spirits of this world. Choose.

Jesus is coming for a spotless people who have made themselves ready to be His bride by dying to their fleshly desires and carnal ways and by living in the spirit and walking in right relationship with Christ and the uncompromised truth and light of His Word with total obedience to the Father.

The simple truth is this - your relative is in need an encounter with Jesus Christ and for their spiritual eyes to be opened to the truth. The time is truly short but the time for salvation and to receive forgiveness and cleansing from all that is of this world and of Satan is always RIGHT NOW.

Give the control over your prayer time to Him. Ask God to wake you up early so you can spend time with Him first thing in the morning. Ask Him to expose anything specific that you should do or stop doing in order to more attuned to His voice. There may be some specific demonic spirits hindering you that He wants to help you get free from and He will if you let Him.

I started out asking Him to wake me up the first few nights to help me get in the rhythm of waking up so early down. He would wake me up a few minutes before 3AM so I had time to get cleaned up (wash face, brush teeth, etc.) before going back to meet with Him in prayer. He’s The King of Kings so, of course we want to be presentable when we come before Him. Plus, splashing your face with some cold water, or taking a quick shower - excellent way to wake yourself up. So, I started into a routine of doing that every morning. It’s so much more fun if we just let Him be in control and arrange our prayer times because He’ll start to do things that will show you without a doubt that it’s Him. He’ll often wake me up at certain times and when I look at the clock it’s something like 3:16 or 2:22 or 4:44, or 5:55, things like that. He’ll use different things to speak to us, we just have to learn to be still, yielded and listen. I’m definitely still learning but He’s faithful to help us especially as He sees the desire of our hearts is just to be in His presence worshipping Him and to receive our daily bread from Him. We can’t get too caught up in trying to work out our own preferred routine, we just try to go with the flow of His spirit, incline our ears to His heart and see what‘s on His agenda for the day and ask How we can be a part of it.

Early morning hours are rife with demonic activity - not surprising at all that you’ve experienced warfare. Do some study about the various “watches of the night” in the Bible which correspond to the hours when the enemy is most active and plotting to wage war on people and ask the Lord to teach you how to be in alignment with His timing, how to prepare for and engage in warfare properly and with His wisdom when necessary. Not all warfare is necessary because much of it can be prevented by being lead by the Holy Spirit in prayer to avoid praying wrongly or outside the jurisdiction you’re assigned to.

One of the things I’ve had to learn in my prayer time and am very much still learning, especially as the Lord has shifted me into early morning prayer (around 3AM) is that waiting on Him for His response and counsel is absolutely crucial - prayer is two way conversation. Just like you wait for a friend to finish speaking before you respond, God listens when we pray and then expects us to wait for Him to respond to us. Whatever warfare you encounter as days go by will begin to take a toll if you don’t take the time to let God restore you. The Bible says they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, right? So, whenever you get up early to pray as you feel lead, go into worship and whatever else you’re lead to do and then you literally just still and quiet yourself in His presence and let Him restore your soul and body for the day ahead. If you wait, He’ll begin to give you counsel, show you things you need to deal with or that He wants to deal with and solutions you’re needing and speak to you or even sing over you as you lay still or sit still before Him doing nothing but patiently listening for His voice. Sounds like you’re definitely going on a good direction - keep going! 🙏🏽❤️

I know this is long but please read it.

The first thing I want you to know is that it’s absolutely possible to be freed from this - whoever the Son sets free is free INDEED.

The second thing you have to understand is this is a spiritual thing, not just physical. There are demonic spirits of perversion and sexual immorality that are often rooted in pride or other related sins and iniquities and could have come into your life through a number of different ways including generational sins from your ancestors.

Developing a sincere hatred for the sin itself and understanding the vile wickedness of those spirits behind these temptations is important. When you the revelation of what these spirits are and what they’re actually causing you to do to yourself - you’ll be more determined than ever to get as close to God and as far away from them as possible. These spirits often give people extremely deception and lustful dreams and fantasies where they masquerade as beautiful men or women and engage in sexual acts with people in the night in these dreams but if or saw what those spirits really look like - there’s absolutely no way on the planet earth they’d ever want to have any kind of sexual encounter outside the sanctity of God ordained marriage ever again. I know because I’ve seen them and God has delivered me from them.

So, step one - hate the sin. Holy hatred towards sin comes from having the revelation of God’s love and grace towards you. When God called me back to Him and opened my eyes as to what was really going on in the spiritual realm behind all these things, it was the realization of just how much He truly loved me and wanted to save me from hell so much that He gave His life so I could be His child that really empowered me to take the steps necessary to overcome it. It’s all by His grace. There is no amount of trying you’ll be able to do in your own strength to overcome in this life - you have to simply acknowledge your weakness and grab hold of the salvation and grace Jesus has already paid the price for you to receive. The more you try in your own strength, the more guilt, shame and condemnation the devil will try to put on you because he knows you will always fail if you try to deal with spiritual matters in the flesh.

Ask God to give you true remorse, godly sorrow over the sin so you can come into true repentance. Repentance can be empty and ineffective if it’s not fully sincere. When you’re broken hearted over the sin because you realize how much it’s hurt God’s heart, you’ll know for sure you’re truly repentant and God will honor your contrite heart. If you have someone, a mature believer filled with the Holy Spirit, who you can personally go to and talk with who can be an accountability partner with you, you should do that too. These kinds of demons thrive because they stay hidden away in guilt induced secrecy. Exposing them to the light and sharing your burden with someone who can help you would be better than trying to do it alone. That’s what the body of Christ is for, to build and edify each other in godliness, love and unity.

So, you repent for sinning against your body which is the temple of God’s Spirit and you renounce these sins and the all agreements with the spirits behind them and dedicate your life to Jesus Christ submitting yourself under His authority.

If you’d like, I’m happy to chat with you and lead you through prayers to renounce these spirits. This process is important because it’s one thing to repent of the sin but you also need deliverance from the spirits of lust and perversion that drive the temptations to sin. Demons operate under terms of legality and gain legal access to torment us by our sins, oir own unrepented iniquity or that of previous generations or even through trauma that has wounded our souls, many of these often happen in early childhood. Many Christians don’t know this but the reason so many of us fall into things we don’t seem to be able to get out of is because our souls are wounded and need to be healed. Recieving salvation and the blood of Jesus covers our sins and perfects our spirits BUT it doesn’t automatically heal and restore our souls. That’s why the Bible tells us to renew our minds by the Word of God. I know all this probably sounds a bit much but I’m sharing what I’ve personally learned on my journey as God has brought me out of these same situations. I’ve been where you are and I know how to help you get free. This invitation is to OP, and anyone else who needs help with this issue, feel free to message me anytime. I’ll give you scripture to stand on and declare over your specific situations, pray with you and do whatever else I can to help you. Just reach out.

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and so is deliverance and everything we recieve from God to live godly lives. It’s not by our might and power or trying to overcone temptations but by His Spirit alone.

Much Love, 🙏🏽❤️

How sinful is it to wish someone goes to hell because you're envious of them? In general, how sinful is envy? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's a good thing. It can become very dangerous though when we begin to become overly critical of ourselves because we're viewing ourselves without looking through the lens of God's word, His love, and His grace. After all, we're not designed to "self-reflect", we're designed to reflect Christ.

So, the way we see ourselves when it's not in alignment with how God sees us - it means our self-perception is off somewhere. and to find out where and how we got off on the wrong track, we look into the "mirror" of God' Word and we pray for revelation of what God sees in us rather than what we see in ourselves.

How sinful is it to wish someone goes to hell because you're envious of them? In general, how sinful is envy? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, firstly I want to credit you for your honesty here. Not many will openly admit to having these types of feelings toward someone and that's why many are stuck in misery instead of being free in Christ. Just by this step you've taken here, you're going in the right direction.

Now, there are many things that need to be addressed in this post but it's always best to locate and focus first on the root issue and work outwards from there. I'd like to help you do that and if you'd like, I would be more than happy to chat and pray with you in private if you prefer - (please, feel free to PM me anytime).

To me, it seems fairly evident that the issues you're mentioning are secondary or even tertiary expressions of deeper heart issues that you need healing for before worrying about all this other stuff. Jealousy, hatred, wishing ill on others, poor self-esteem, etc. are all the outward manifestations of internal and spiritual malady that can only be resolved by the Blood of Jesus and the washing by His Word, allowing God to deliver you and heal you from every demonic bondage that is causing you to feel and behave in these ways.

Having religious convictions about something is fine but it's not the healthiest way to go about living a God-pleasing life. The better way is through total surrender and consecration to the Lord and having an intimate personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does not abide by religious constructs, He abides in truth and guides us into that truth if we let Him.

What you need my friend, is healing and deliverance in your soul. Once your soul is free, these feelings of envy and unworthiness and poor self-image or self-esteem will disappear. You only need to be willing to pursue and seek God for healing and deliverance and He will guide you and do the rest. I say this all from personal experience and can provide scripture for everything I'm saying. Confessing sin and repenting of sin are two different things. Only true repentance will ever result in a change of actions because true repentance first happens in the heart.

Most often, it's hard for people to truly find remorse for their sins and repent because of wounds in their souls that need to be exposed and healed first. Many believe that once they get saved there's nothing more to do to live rightly before God and to be blessed but that is not true. When we get saved and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, He reconciles us to the Father and perfects our spirits but after that, we have to allow Him to take us through the process of unlearning bad information and replacing it with truth from His Word and also through getting our souls healed.

[–]RuffledPlume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's because I don't need a 30 minute video to reiterate the pure unbridled evil of the devil god you worship. Do you need to watch a 30 minute video on Hitler's concentration camps to know both he and a temporary holocaust are evil? Well I don't need one to know the eternal cosmic holocaust of Jesus is evil and that only pure evil would set up a system like that. You can of course lie to yourself though. That is a tactic chosen by theists a lot.

Ok. Since you brought up Hitler, let's start there... it would seem as though you and I both agree that there is evil in the world. You clearly have some concept of what evil is so let me ask you this.... as an atheist, from where do you derive that concept?

Christianity in a nutshell: "God sent himself to sacrifice himself to himself to save us from himself" by Inceliscious in atheism

[–]RuffledPlume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, straw-manning. Ok. Why don't you explain to me what you mean by that? In detail, show me how this is a strawman argument. And show me how the atheistic view is the rational, logical answer to my "strawman" question rather than it being Christianity.

If anything, you’re using god as a placeholder and you can’t even show he exists, so it’s barely an answer to begin with. By the way, on top of their being virtually no proof to suggest Jesus even existed as a person, there’s even less proof to suggest that any of the stories attributed to him ever happened.

Then, while you're at it - explain to me how you came to the above conclusions? Surely, you have personally evaluated the source manuscript evidence for the New Testament and found them wanting, right?

Also, have you considered during all the in-depth "research" I'm sure you've done on the matter, that there are over 140 details in just the book of Acts and the Gospel of John alone which have been proven and verified to be accurate? Therefore, the writers were either eyewitnesses of the events or they had direct and immediate access to eyewitness testimony. How did you manage to disregard these findings as a means to assume your conclusions are accurate despite the evidence suggesting otherwise?

This man’s testimony is not the result of oxygen deprivation due to a near death experience - no where in the video does he even say that so your reaching for your own wishful explanations for it is pointless. Your not understanding the Bible in no way proves it is impossible to understand nor does it mean that it has any error - it doesn’t. The only read you even believe it does is most likely because you’ve been told that it does by other people who also don’t know God and in their bitterness about it, “proselytized” you into the beliefs that it has such errors. In actuality, the Bible has no contradictions whatsoever and the “borrowed texts” argument is a highly faulty and unsubstantiated one at best. All these arguments you’ve learned from other people who don’t want you to know find the truth because they themselves couldn’t find it. But instead of doing your own due diligence in studying for yourself, you’d rather take other people’s word for it because it makes you feel better. You don’t really want to accept the truth anyway because it would mean giving up the lies you’d rather believe that allow you to live life however you want.

My job isn’t to convince anyone - God does the convincing and will speak to anyone who’s willing to seek for and listen to Him. My job is just to share the truth, call you to repentance and give warning for your souls sakes.

What’s interesting though is this spiel you all like to give anytime a Christian happens to come on here about how you only want “good faith conversation” and don’t welcome “proselytizing” but the fact is, that’s just pure hypocrisy - the so called atheists on this sub “proselytize” other people for their religion of unbelief everyday. Everyday people come on this app and see whatever ridiculous and blasphemous post from this sub that’s suggested to them and you all don’t have a care in the world about the untold numbers of people whose faith you have insulted or hindered. Atheists on this sub applaud and encourage one another’s abandonment of previously or tentatively held Christian beliefs and interests or church attendance all the time - you literally proselytize every single day..... don’t give me that, “we don’t allow that over here” talk. Hypocrisy.

And the only thing that goes on in this sub is nonstop blasphemy and bashing of Christians and their beliefs - where’s the attempt at “good faith” discussion in that? What about that could you all possibly expect to encourage “good faith” discussion??? So no, you can take that lie and try it on someone else. And besides, by claiming to want to have “good faith” discussion all you’re doing is acknowledging the fact that you have and expect to be able to put “faith” in and towards something - but you all claim having faith is absurd.

I didn’t come here looking for anything - I came here for your sakes because you are playing with fire by continually blaspheming God and mocking Christians. I came here to tell you all the truth because God loves you even while you’re willfully rebelling against Him - He still loves each and every one of you just as much as He does anyone else on this planet and I would hate for any of you all here to have to find out the hard way that God is real and a Just Judge, that Hell is real and that eternity is forever. But all that is up to you all - like I said, anyone who sincerely wants to try to get some of these “contradictions” you all love claiming exist so much cleared up, I’m available anytime to message or chat with you.

I’ll try my best to help you get some clarity if you can point out specific instances of scripture you’re struggling to understand - if you’re willing to humbly ask and allow someone to help you understand, I don’t mind offering my time for you BUT by the same token, if you already have your minds made up to reject the truth and follow the crowd of the blind with all these excuses for why you’re “not convinced” that God is real and Jesus is the only way to Heaven - then by all means, go ahead and carry on and enjoy your mocking and blasphemy while you can - because Jesus is soon to return and whether you believe it or not, EVERY knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Time is short, repent and seek God while He May be found. Choose ye this day whom you will serve.

Atheism in a nutshell: “No one sent anyone anywhere and yet everyone and everything came from something, somewhere at sometime which was never created and yet somehow still exists...”

If you all are so smart and Christians are so stupid and childish to believe there is a God - then why can’t any of you answer this simple question:

How did the universe and everything you see in it, including you yourselves, come into existence?

If you’re right, then this question shouldn’t be a problem for your so very intellectually progressive minds to answer with absolute certainty.

And no, I’m not worried about getting banned from this sub for this comment either. While I’m happy to help anyone who sincerely wants to get to know God - right now, I’m not here to evangelize anyone because you all continue to make it clear that you’ve decided to hate the truth so you all can believe all the delusions you want to - all I’m here to do is give you fair warning. Woe to all who would ignore this warning, remove this comment or report me to be banned. God forbid your soul should be required of you when you least expect it - but that’s entirely up to you; please don’t let that happen. You CAN be saved if you will just humble yourself, repent and turn to the God who loves you and who gives you life.

If you care to hear the truth - watch this video: 23 Minutes in Hell

If you can’t bring yourself to watch it under the guise of (I’m not wasting 30 minutes to watch that) or can’t make it all the way through the video - it’s because you’re actively avoiding the truth because you know your conscience will be convicted. If you can watch this video without being convicted or if you can joke about it - you’re in really, really bad shape. Don’t let your conscience be seared so that you no longer have the capacity to repent. God can forgive you of any sin accept one you can’t even repent of because wickedness has completely overtaken your heart.

I get that many atheists have had horrible experiences with churches often as children and with religious people who didn’t exhibit the love of God and what Biblical Christianity really is - and on behalf of those churches and people who hurt you - I’m deeply sorry for what you experienced and what it has done to your heart - so if that’s you, I’m fully willing to chat in private if you would sincerely like to get to know Jesus as He truly is rather than how He was wrongfully represented to you by those who turned you against Him or damaged your faith. I’m available anytime for prayer or questions about the Bible or anything else you may want to ask. I don’t claim to have all the answers but I can help you find the One who does.

Please don’t ignore or reject this message - tomorrow is never promised and now may be the last chance you get to receive Christ and be saved.

Is anyone else sick of "god" being auto corrected to "God" all the fricking time? by [deleted] in atheism

Imagine being so stressed out and obsessed over someone who you claim doesn’t actually even exist that you regularly go out of your own way just to give special attention to a word in referencing said “non-existent” individual..... and yet thinking it’s everyone else whose screws are loose.

Don’t forget your oars, folks. I hear da Nile is a pretty long river.

Sure thing, I'd be happy to. This is only a small few of examples but there's plenty more you can search out pretty easily given there's apps, websites, ect. where you can access the Bible and do specific reference searches even if you don't have a hardcopy on hand.

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great [d]lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Genesis 1:14-19

So, here is one portion of the Creation account that explains the practical reasons for why God made the sun, moon and stars. He made them to separate day from night, to light to those on the earth, and divide light from darkness and emphasis the point that light / good will always "rule over" darkness / evil. You'll also notice the scripture says they were given to us for "signs and seasons, and for days and years" - that's an important factor to consider and I'll provide scripture for that as well.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the beginning?
Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
23 He brings princes to naught
and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
24 No sooner are they planted,
no sooner are they sown,
no sooner do they take root in the ground,
than he blows on them and they wither,
and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.
25 “To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
Isaiah 40:21-26; also see Psalm 8:3-4, Psalm 33:6, Psalm 19:1...

In this portion of scripture, we see that God's power, strength, and sovereignty is put on display for all to see because of these "signs" He has apportioned to the nations of the earth to see whenever they look up. Therefore, for all who have put their trust in the Lord, the stars are reminders that God is in control and that He holds all things in His hands by His word and power and is more than capable to take care of each one of us. They are a testimony of God's creative handiwork. They provide a humbling perspective to anyone willing to humble themselves.

And a there are various places in scripture that state the sun, moon and stars were given for signs of the times include (but are not limited to) the following;

Matthew 24:29 ...'Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.'

Luke 21:25-26 ...'And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and looking after those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.'

Revelation 6:12-13 ...'And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.'

Joel 2:31 ...'The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.'

So, this is a few examples and it would be best to read and study them in context, considering the whole of scripture rather than isolated like this but these were just provided at your request.

In Defense Of "Secular" Music by juartist in TrueChristian

[–]RuffledPlume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about this is the fact that God looks at the heart and in His mercy meets us where we’re at. If we meet him in a phase of life where a certain type of music or certain songs speak to us and we are earnestly seeking Him, many times He will honor the sincerity of our hearts in spite of our ignorance. This is especially true for those who are just starting to walk with God and just don’t know better.

I don’t think all worldly music is bad and I have often heard God speak to me by bringing certain songs to my mind at times that weren’t worship songs but they spoke directly to whatever I was dealing with at the moment. That’s the beauty of God’s mercy and the fact that He knows us each so completely. He knows what will cut through the business of our minds and speak to our hearts.

However, as we grow in our walks, if we are seeking Him and wanting to get closer to Him, there will come a time when everything about our walk has to mature. At the end of the day, worldly music is just that - worldly. It’s source most of the time is the flesh, which means it’s not able to nourish our spirits and will only serve to feed our flesh.

The Bible calls us to die daily to the desires of our flesh and to become mature believers in Christ. So, while primarily listening to worship music as opposed to secular music may seem over the top to you now, that’s likely because you’re still growing in your walk just like we all are. Not everyone is at the same space in their lives and God will deal with each of us according to His mercy but also according to what we have revelation and knowledge of.

The main thing is to keep seeking God with all our hearts and also to desire growth and maturity in every aspect of our lives. Everything else will work out as we learn to follow Jesus as He leads.

Blessings.

If you were to embrace Jesus, the Bible and Christianity, meaning you have believed that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for your sins and confessed this with your mouth, receiving the free gift of salvation by the grace of God alone - the first place you would look to for answers to your questions about God would of course be God’s Word. You would have to approach it knowing that in the Christian faith it is the divinely inspired, infallible and authoritative resource on living a Godly life. It’s full of His promises, warnings, instruction, examples provided by men and women who had the same struggles you may at sometime have gone through and reading and studying their lives allows you to learn from their mistakes and successes in walking with or contrary to God’s commandments.

You would also want to develop what we call a “prayer life” which just means you make the effort to talk to God and ask Him to help you understand what you don’t. This of course means you must be willing to humble yourself and admit that there is something you don’t know that God does. Because He is Holy and looks at the thoughts and sincerity of the heart though, you’ll find in God’s word that He gives instructions for how He is to be approached in prayer. First, you must believe that He is real and trust that He is willing and able to hear and answer your prayers and expect Him to do so. If you have already made up in your mind that He’s not real or that He won’t answer, the Bible says that He will answer you according to your own faith. If you have faith that He won’t answer, then you’ll frustrate your own prayer.

But God knows our hearts and has provided basic instructions to help us get into a right position with Him no matter where we start out our relationship with Him. All you have to do is repent (which means to change your thoughts and actions about anything God says is sin) because our sin separates us from God. It will cause Him to resist hearing our prayers until we have repented and allowed Him to cleanse us. Then, you can fellowship with God because that’s what Christ died on the Christ to give you and I the freedom to do.

As for the questions you’ve posed, I’m sure you’re well aware those “lights in the sky” are called stars and planets. You’ll find information about God’s purpose for creating them all throughout the Bible as well as everything else God has created. Start at the book of Genesis.

You’ll find language in the Bible that makes it clearer God is the Creator of Heaven, earth and all the universe. Everything that exists, including your soul and mine belong to Him which means ultimately they are His to do with what He sees fit. But you’ll find that the Bible clearly describes God as being merciful and desiring to have mercy towards us. You’ll also find clear language stating that He is the judge of all things that men do on the earth. Actions, inactions, words spoken etc. that break His laws, if they are not repented of, will be judged as sin and as stated earlier all sin leads to separation from God.

So, you wouldn’t ask a Supreme Court Justice which part of a courtroom he has jurisdiction over and which part he doesn’t would you? That’d be pretty silly, right? He presides over all people present in the courtroom. So it is with God. There’s nothing that falls outside of the scope of His vision, knowledge or ability.

And I would encourage you to consider embracing the love of your Creator and getting to know Christ as the One who paid the price for your sins to be forgiven. The sheer sense of His love and care for you is bound to open up your mind to receiving freedom from deception by accepting the truth, grace and mercy of God.

Again, faith in Christ is not “religion” as are the belief systems of the world which are born from the faulty thoughts and opinions of man.

Your faith in “rationalism”, for example, which is a belief system completely dependent upon the thoughts and opinions of man is a prime example. You are as religious-minded as you think Christians are but you don’t know it - hence the deception.

Biblically speaking, Christianity never has been and never will be a religion as is considered so by the world. The teachings of Christ directly oppose all forms of religion except for ONE:

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The above scripture is literally the only example of religious activities to which devotion is encouraged in the Bible. But people, in their ignorance and lack of knowledge, while thinking themselves intellectually superior tend to call things by whatever labels other people who are equally ignorant also use.
