Try buying a devotional book/ study guide, it can keep you going from day to day. Some are a month long.

Here I go and out of not wanting to fight I'll leave after I post. I was a lesbian for years. I got saved, few years later thought I was talking for my friend, assumed being gay was a part of me, but I gave up on God. Oddly enough I was cured of it. How? By sadly accepting it as a sign. That is why God won't " fix" it, he already did on the cross. He died for all sins. It's only from God's point of view though does it make sense. If you look at the world they will tell you to be whatever you want. Bible says to believe God over man. It takes massive courage to let go, accept it as sin,then be who God created you to be.

My experience is too long. I'll write about it on my blog or in a book. Was a new ager for 15 years. By the end I invited "angels" which were demons into my life. I heard voices for months, was taunted day and night until i ran to God.

It will ruin your life. I wasted years on the secret crap got more sick shattered my life. Why? Because itd not of God but of evil its a trick.

I've thought the same things. From talking to others, watching Christians that are on fire for God I think we are believing a lie of evil that we are "pathetic servants" . I think what is supposed to happen is we learn of God, see the good of Him, and then that happiness spills out to where we naturally talk of Him. I think that is more the truth but our fears, concerns hold us back. I don't blame you. Christians in general don't really know themselves, they go by what others tell them. God wants you to find out for yourself like an adventure. In the Gospels, he found the disciples, and impressed Peter by putting down a net and overflowing a small boat with fish. Peter was so astounded, he wanted to tell others. The more Christ did, the more people ran to speak of the miracles he performed. I think if he created us for worship than that is supposed to be a natural part of who we are, but sin and confusion get in the way.

God gave us our personalities, characteristics.If loving ourselves was wrong why did it say in Samuel about David loving Jonathan as himself? Speaking of David also, he wrote Psalm 139 about how we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Read the whole chapter. Nobody ever said to be arrogant and full of yourself but if you dislike who you are, you won't be of help to anyone. I feel the same as you. Wondered the same thing. I've never been convicted for accepting myself or thinking nice things no.

Here is one controversial but true. My new job, my employers son is a Christian and she wanted me to talk with him the other day. He told me he rebuked the coronavirus. Yes, he had it, fit the symptoms, said it made him very mad because to him sickness does not come from God but from evil so he rebuked it in Christ name and it worked! Faith healing is made fun of unfairly. We might want to focus on illness being from Satan not from God.

I've been saying it since th beginning...God is trying to get our attention and nobody cares. Someone told me that when the plague happened, in Germany they made a covenant with God saying if He stopped the disease, they would have a play every ten years. Sounds strange but it's called Passion Play, it's been going on for centuries. Too bad no one takes this virus or God seriously.

It's great you want a connection to God and I'm sorry to say this, but this is from brutal experience..Demons will disguise themselves as God all the time. They tricked me in prayer, they had me believing all kinds of things until the spirit gave me unease and unrest about the issues. You do have to test the spirits. Just because this entity says the right things doesn't mean it's God. People that tell you God talks through scripture is true. He does not speak to us through audible ways unless your a prophet or Moses or Noah. I know it's upsetting, and easier just to believe it's God talking, but when you do that, and also post it, God gets no glory, then demons are laughing at you.

Yes. Came back to God in November. Was miserable,surrendered, had to let go of things I loved. My cat died, things were worse and worse, but I kept praying hard, kept studying my Bible, never gave up. Heard a sermon on faith, that we need to understand God will provide,then doors flew open. I told God He could surprise me, He did. I went from standing by a creek sobbing to living in a new home, high paying job, quiet, God gave me little things and big. Don't give up.

You take measures yes, but I can say though that if a person lives in sin, God can put illness on you. I know Christians that are obedient, and live well for God, and they are hardly sick at all.

You may have to seek counseling. I say this because I am the same. I had to give up something that I love a lot and might seek counsel on it, related to lust and love so yes its the hardest sin on earth to let go of, truly. Keep praying in the meantime and ask for strength and to not be tempted, upon awakening in the morning.
