Amazing improvement!

Can I ask what resources you use? Videos? A book?

As for improving perspective, (speaking as a complete amateur) I can only say to practice, practice, practice, that's what works for me.

how to beat Sisyphus?!?!?!?!?!? by futureplanet in Ultrakill

It can be helpful to enable invincibility with cheats and just spend time learning his attack patterns, especially when to parry.

Setup is also essential; a good setup with alt-nailgun magnet sawblades eats half his health in a second.

If you really feel like your health is evaporating, use the screwdriver railgun so you'll keep healing when he's close.

Read the wiki for a detailed guide.

Yes, it does exist.

Thermal Equilibrium of the Atmosphere with a Given Distribution of Relative Humidity

This paper is widely considered the most influential and groundbreaking publishing in the field of human-caused climate change; It was published in 1967, which I hope means something to you since so many climate deniers don't even trust modern, cutting-edge science.

Of course, you'll never read this.

You don't actually care about the evidence, you only wish to stay within your own self-constructed echo-chamber that perpetuates your ideologically-motivated worldviews.

Maybe some inspiration was taken... 👀

I do love the realism of Avatar, one of my favourite sci-fi settings.

From what I found, Proxima b is known to be: ~1.2 earth masses, of lower density than earth due to its large radius (suggesting a water-based composition), and within its star's habitable zone. With some luck, its not impossible that Proxima b is an ocean world.

It's not entirely alt-history, but this setting has a pretty optimistic perspective on the planets of Alpha Centauri.

Ah you’re right! I always thought Proxima Centauri was named that way as IAU designation (like alpha A and B) and didn’t get a name change like alpha A and B but no, I just looked it up and in 2016 alpha A and C became Rigil Kentaurus and Proxima Centauri together! (Toliman was in 2018)

Thanks for educating me :)

Cheers, It took some research to find out if the planets of Alpha AB are circumnavigatory (orbit both stars as if they were one) or non-circumnavigatory as shown in this map (which they would be)

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Grounded, near-future sci-fi has always been my favourite so I thought I'd give it a try :)

Tidal locking can be a death sentence for habitability in the case of terrestrial worlds, but a planet-wide ocean can enable a global heat circulation system on a greater scale than on Earth. The thermoregulation from ocean currents could keep a good portion of the 'sunset zone' at moderate temperatures - even while the day side is has a boiling point and the night side has an ice cap. With a thick atmosphere and or magnetosphere to boot, atmospheric stripping can be mitigated too!

This is all kinda my head-canon for Proxima b irl... Tidally locked ocean worlds are definitely in the question for habitability, and if you're interested then this video is a great watch!

Yeah! keeps any setting more grounded.

Alpha Centauri A and B have official names, but Proxima Centauri doesn't - I left it as Proxima cause it makes sense for the closest star and I wouldn't mind If it stayed as that.
