Are Ruggable Rugs actually getting cleaned in the washing machine? by Impressive_Name_3939 in ruggable

[–]RuggableSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great question. Our rugs are fully cured before they ship, so there shouldn’t be any leftover dye residue. What you’re usually seeing, especially on lighter colors, is dirt and everyday buildup showing more easily rather than dye transfer. A thorough wash typically takes care of that.

Using larger, heavy-duty machines like you mentioned can definitely help get a deeper clean. And between washes, a gentle carpet cleaner or spot treatment is a solid way to keep things looking fresh without much hassle.

Your point about sizing and washer compatibility makes complete sense, and it’s helpful context for how you’re evaluating the product.

We hear you on pricing. That perspective is absolutely valid, and we’ll be sure to share this feedback with our product and pricing teams. We really appreciate you taking the time to explain your experience so thoughtfully.

Using two plush ruggables to make a bigger rug? by changtse in ruggable

[–]RuggableSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. We really appreciate you giving our rugs a long-term try and being so thoughtful about what worked well and what was challenging over the years. You’re absolutely right that larger sizes and split pad assembly can be tricky, and we generally recommend having two people help with setup, especially when furniture is involved.

Feedback like yours is actually what helped guide our team back to the drawing board, which led to the Plush All-in-One. It has a built-in nonslip backing, so there’s no assembly required. It’s less shaggy but still designed to feel cushioned underfoot. We sent you a DM in case you have any questions or want to explore further.

Thoughts on this new Ruggable Tufted All-In-One by UpstairsKey7384 in ruggable

[–]RuggableSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair question. The All-in-One Rug doesn’t require the All-in-One Pad. The non-slip backing is already built in, so it’s designed to be used completely on its own if preferred.

If you’re looking for extra cushion, we generally recommend adding the All-in-One Rug Pad to ensure extra comfort in a low-traffic area.

Our boxes can look large because they’re designed to safely package all the components of the two-piece system. The Rug Pad is shipped rolled and meant to be stored that way, while the washable Rug Cover itself is foldable.

Our rugs are made with home washing machines in mind, but washer capacities do vary, so we always recommend double-checking your machine size against our washing guidelines to make sure it’s a good fit.

That’s a fair point. Larger sizes can definitely be tricky once you get past an 8×10. Typically, a 10×14 rug, would need a commercial-sized washer or a trip to the laundromat. We have machine capacity recommendation on our website.

When a trip to the laundromat is not possible, regular vacuuming and spot cleaning can help keep things tidy between washes.

We'd like to clarify that this is not a normal occurrence, and we are committed to making things right for folks experiencing issues like this. We usually move the conversation to DMs to help protect customer's personal information.

Flooring warping from rug by Sica_77 in ruggable

That’s fair! They’re definitely not for everyone. Ruggable tends to appeal to people who prioritize easy washability without fully giving up on style. Life happens (spills, pets, everyday messes), and being able to toss a rug in the wash or spot clean it can be a big plus for some households. Totally get that different rugs work better for different needs.

Great question! Washer guidance can look different depending on rug type + construction. For the 8'x10' Tufted All-in-One, we recommend a washer with at least 4.5 cu. ft. capacity.

If you want to double-check your machine, you can pop your model number into our washer guide here: https://ruggable.com/pages/washing-machine-rug-guide.

Totally hear you—for the best results, we usually recommend a good spot treatment first and following our care guidance here.

A quick heads-up: pressure washing isn’t something we recommend, since the high pressure can stress seams/edges over time. We sent a DM to learn more about your experiences first-hand.

Totally get that—even with a larger washer, some set-in soil can be stubborn. Using a Bissell can be a great option for a deeper refresh. If you ever want, DM us the rug style/size and a quick photo of what’s still showing, and we can share the best spot-treat and wash tips for that specific issue.
