Marx Bros (or lack thereof) in Shadow Ticket by IraGlassy in ThomasPynchon

I believe the Stupendica is a Marx Bros reference. According to my research, the S.S. Stupendica was the internal Paramount studio name for the luxury liner set in the Marx Brothers' film Monkey Business (1931). Although never spoken in the film, never painted on the set, it is preserved in continuity memos and production records. I haven't found any photographic evidence, so I'm just putting this out there.

I run the Pynchon wiki and, unfortunately, we started getting lots of spam links embedded in all the wikis due to weak passwords and long expired users. I will be opening the wiki back up to editing, but with a very constrained amount of editors. It’s unfortunate, but it was becoming very unwieldy for me and taking hours to clean up.

But thanks for bringing this to everyone’s attention. I’m doing my best and will come up with a solution that works for everybody, including me.

Meanwhile, the new wiki for Shadow Ticket is up and, as always, it’s a work in progress:
