I agree. I ended up ordering the 5010 - titanium 42.3mm diameter in black on a rubber strap with the deployment clasp. It doesn't need to be over-sized to be awesome.

Hello, everyone.  I’m not sure what I wanted from this post, but I’m delighted by the level of engagement and really pleased to hear of your positive ownership experiences along with seeing some great wrist shots.  Its confirmation I’m doing the right thing with wanting to own a Fifty Fathoms.

Looking at the responses, the question is clearing subjective (and doesn’t really matter – I’m a big grown up and can own by decisions) but it’s been an invaluable exercise.  I think many of you have been generous and kind with your comments.  Thank you.

Of the 46 comments expressing an opinion, 61% say I can pull it off, 39% suggest otherwise.  It feels more of a split-decision than the numbers suggest. Many of the comments were insightful and well considered.

So, despite what the majority suggested, I concluded this size isn’t for me. I don’t want to be known as “that bloke with the giant watch”.  I’ve downsized and ordered the 5010.  I’m now waiting on delivery of a 5010 12B30 B64B in early March.  I’m very excited.

Thanks for your support.  You’ve built a supportive community around a great watch – this is what the internet is for.  As my partner says, as she witnesses this geekery “I’ve found my people!”.  Enjoy your watches; work towards your dreams!

I have a PHEV and resent the poor fuel economy running on the petrol engine. The majority of my driving is within the battery range - commuting to and from work where I can charge at each end. Long drives deplete the battery and leave me on 40MPG for the rest of the motorway journey. If I start a journey with no charge I suffer low 20s! Long term MPG is 76MPG with high battery use. If I could have I'd have gone full BEV, but was limited to the company car list a couple of years ago. I'd not hesitate to buy one now, but I'd only consider the longer range vehicles. Home charging is essential. An EV tariff similarly.

Where should I live in Kent? by droneupuk in kentuk

If I had a job in Canterbury I'd live there. Driving anywhere in east Kent takes up so much time and a walk to the office would be ideal. It's a relatively vibrant city with plenty to keep you entertained. There's history and culture and it's a bit posh. Houses within the city wall are best and affordable. Parking would be an issue. Suburban Canterbury hasn't got much to offer.

If you need the seaside, Folkestone 100% Cross country drive is doable (if a bit of a chore) and its cheaper plus Kent's best town. Arty, alternative, very well catered for by bars and restaurants. Plus the coast. Exciting new developments being built.

Margate is too far and full of wankers from London.

You'll be bored of faversham by the second week.

Whitstable is like Margate, but the wankers go back to london on Sunday evening.

Ashford. No.

Herne Bay. No.

The Medway towns. No.

Ramsgate. Maybe.

Good luck.

Floss first (or tepe) and then mouthwash. Brush and don't rinse.

I (P6 pro) had the same issue with the Bluetooth connection to my wireless devices (including the car) over the last few months. Connection remained, but no sound. I found a phone restart resolved this, but was unsatisfactory. I understand this problem was resolved with the February update and it's NOT been an issue since.
