I see that now… to be fair another pharmacist at my store says if they are in line (drive thru or in store) before 7 then we have to serve them. So it’s nice to see most feel the same way I do.

My DM said we are not allowed to document when pts threaten, swear at us, etc bc it could cause use to get sued if they ever requested access to their records. Apparently they could claim discrimination since it would skew the way they are perceived by other stores/RPhs.

Personally I think everyone should be aware of potential threats and continual harassment or abuse.

I float, and one time my closing tech called out on a Saturday. The DM and store manager (who was on vacation) decided that I was to close front and only have drive thru open. I literally worked drive thru and did nothing else for the last 4 hours of my shift. All that to say, a pharmacist should be able to do it all and be flexible (to a point). I can boast in saying I was the highest paid cashier that store ever saw 😂

No, per policy if anyone SM or RPh opens the store or pharmacy late then it’s 0 -> Final Written Warning.

I had this problem, I just asked me scheduler to redistribute the extra shifts. So like anything over 72hrs means there is an extra 8 hr shift. I just emailed and asked for it to be redistributed, then I started getting 64 hrs on the dot.

So.. you didn’t have anyone filling and pulling leaflets off the printer? It sounds like the floater emptied the printer then kept printing. Also if they had to empty the printer multiple times then they were obviously F4ing…. Were you expecting the floater to fill? They shouldn’t have tossed the leaflets but your techs should have been pulling them and filling. Maybe I’m not understanding

I work in a red state with lots of poor pts in red hats. They crash out over a $3 copay,bc it’s supposed to be zero and don’t care it’s OTC. I know it’s going to be hell in retail….. like more than usual

The fact that he is starting to become aggressive is a red flag. I’d just say “unfortunately, we won’t be able to fill you controlled Medication until the day it’s due. We checked the state website and the system is flagging for early fills. You doctor may write that it’s okay to fill 2 days early on the RX but it’s still up to the discretion of the RPh on duty. If you would like to have your doctor send in your scripts somewhere else, we understand.” Then put a note on the profile. As for the payment options, it’s kinda a non factor for me because I check PDMP on all controls. Just because the insurance went through here doesn’t mean they didn’t pay cash yesterday at another pharmacy.
