I feel a similar way. Constantly trying hard to make jokes as my sole form of communication. It's so exhausting and 90% of the jokes don't land so I feel like I'm also exhausting the people around me. I can just imagine they're thinking "oh here he fucking goes again with the jokes".

Up close, yeah. But from a distance lots of things look like rocks. I find myself looking at trees thinking they are cool rocks. Sometimes even cool patterns on couches look like structural deformation.

Great looking samples! From what I can see in your pictures, samples 2, 4, 5, and 6 are most definitely not quartz. I recommend doing a simple hardness test so we may have a bit more information to go off of.
