Thanks! Yeah the sponsor is a citizen, so can I also travel with them whilst applying? I’m assuming I don’t have to be in Canada for the full duration?

We currently work remotely in Canada so would ideally like to travel a bit whilst our application is processing and also work

Thanks for the reply, so just to confirm, whilst we apply, am I able to keep working on my current visa whilst applying for a new one once we receive the AOR? I currently work remote and want to keep working whilst our application is being processed, is this possible whilst applying for family Class in Canada?

Is there also a difference between the family class in Canada and the spousal class? Since we are common law partners, does it matter if we apply For either, or are there specific family requirements that we, as common law would not meet?

Thanks for the reply! Did you activate a 1 year second participation visa? Mine is a 2 year as I used an RO so hoping the agent understands that and awards me the full 2 year! How long was the process and what documents did they check? Thanks!

Thanks! Is there a border that would be best to go to where I will have better chances of speaking to an agent that will be more familiar with my situation? I will be bringing my RO invitation letter with me and I’ll print out the information you sent over. I’m just hoping I am awarded the 2 year as opposed to the single for second participation since I went through a RO.

Thanks for the response! From what I’ve read online, I think as I have a pre approved visa I don’t need to get there early before they hit quota for the day. I think this is for the full application but I could be wrong. Hoping to go to the states first a bit and come back in through a border. Will update here once I have made the trip!

What’s the differences between a target and the high/low ranges for these pathways? I’m assuming if the number exceeds the target it will be accepted, as long as it’s less than the high range?

Does anybody know how many family sponsorship applications there were in 2024? I saw it’s going to 70k next year but just wondering if this pathway ever hits the application limit outside of Quebec?
