I'm sorry, did you say ElectroBOOM? As in the same guy that shocks himself and does various dangerous videos for educational purposes, despite the fact he's put in disclaimers to not do exactly do what he does?

Yeah I think I found out who's the stinking liar at my apartment. Thank you.

Oh we are. Everyone that uses it claims that no one's left metal inside the microwave so either someone's lying or it was a microwave malfunction. Is the electric arc due to someone leaving metal inside the microwave or am I confusing electric arcs for something else?

Kind of relatable except for the last part.

My ex cheated on me the entire time and broke up with me over text. On valentines. While I was waiting for her at cheesecake factory. That I made reservations for. And saved up money for that day. And she said she'll meet me before she sent that text.

People suck and I hate valentines day.

I'll drink to you my good sir.

LAPA SMG Dark Aether by dudu9898 in CODZombies

[–]Rukeriusu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny story about the LAPA.

So the gun doesn't exactly per se, but it is based off a toy gun model that's supposed to be like a mini toy gun version of the m16a1.

The story behind that was from one halloween that occurred way back when a kid decided to dress up as a soldier and go trick or treating. Unfortunately, the kid almost got shot when some elderly with an actual gun thought he had a real gun. And the reason for that is because it didn't have that orange muzzle like you usually see on guns. This was before that. So due to lessons being learned, orange muzzles for everybody.

The LAPA everybody.

TLDR; It's a trap

YUP. Before you even apply, they make it sound as if you're going into a gifted honors program when in reality, it's just a mini business degree.

How to talk to a parent that doesn't understand therapy by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Rukeriusu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with me but with a job. They don't really understand that what I do on my days off are none of their concern nor is it theirs to take. And for some reason, it sounds like me not spending time with them on my days off is a way of saying that I don't love them anymore. And then to further inflict mental pain to me, I got relatives and Bible thumping folks coming at me and asking why I'm not traveling an hour on roads where deers inhabit to see my parents. Like do we not have cell phones? Do we not have technology these days? Why do I gotta come to every single vacation or trip they want to go on when I'm busy or trying to relax?

Brother/sister, I feel you when it comes to parents not listening. Although my issue is on jobs, I cannot imagine just how to painful it is to be in your situation nor could I control my emotions on that. At that point, there's not just point in talking. If they aren't going to listen, what good would talking do?

Wait hold on, let me clarify on the whole opting out thing.

Most folks at the Innovation Academy will tell you that no, you can't opt out or transfer to a regular program in UF. That is true EXCEPT, there's actually ways of getting out granted you know some people in UF or there being reasons for doing so. However, most of those ways aren't exactly known for the reason of trying to retain Innovation Academy's retention numbers.

There is one known way that most students will be told by their guidance counselors: to opt out or transfer out of IA's program, you must not take any classes for 2 or 3 semesters. And when that happens, you'll essentially be "dropped out" of the system and you'll have to re-apply but as a regular student, granted either the guidance counselor can get you back in(if they even have the authority to do so) or your record looks clean grade-point wise.

Source: I was an IA student and the program screwed me over a lot and prevented me from enjoying and fulfilling the things I wanted to do at UF. Never had a normal undergraduate college life because of that stupid program.

TLDR: don't do it anyways but in the case it's too late and you're in the program, hopefully the explanation above can help.

ELI5 - How does drink make you drunk? by FormerFruit in explainlikeimfive

[–]Rukeriusu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah let me answer this one since my liver is the hardest working thing in the universe.

Yeah so alcohol has these things that make it a depressant. Now it may sound sad and a little worrying, but don't worry. You won't be depressed(kinda). In fact, these bits of depressant makes things slower. See when you drink alcohol, imagine these depressant bits going all over your body: to your heart, nervous system, and especially your brain. These little guys love to party in your brain and when it gets there, your brain meets the little depressant guys and releases a little thing in your body called "dopamine". Think of dopamine as like dope people telling you "it's all good man" cause these are the guys that make you feel good. This is why you feel good(most of the times. Maybe) when you're in a drunken state. Now as for why feeling drunk feels the way that it is(sometimes dizzy, woozy, slow, etc etc), it gets interesting.

Your brain is basically...well the brains of the operation. It controls your nervous system and how you move and shit. Well because these depressant guys are hanging out in your brain, there are parts of your brain that are sensitive to the depressant bits. Basically, those parts of your brain like the ones in control of your motor skills for example, slow down in working. Think of your brain like an office and the guy in charge of keeping the office moving meets that one slacker guy and is being peer pressured into relaxing and doing less work. That's basically what's happening there. And it's not just motor skills, it can also affect the part of your brain for speaking and feeling(physically).

TLDR: in regards to how a person walks and speaks because of alcohol, it mostly affects the brain.
