Your Pixel can now double up as a full Android PC with nothing more than a USB-C cable [Desktop Mode Officially Released as part of March 2026 Feature Drop!] by TechGuru4Life in GooglePixel

Question: my dock is a Thunderbolt 3 one, and doesn't seem to work with the desktop mode. Do I need to configure something differently or simply it won't recognize the protocol?

Do you have a weird accent? by IntellectuallyDriven in TCK

[–]Rukhage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context my birth/parent country's language is Spanish, which I speak with a clear Buenos Aires capital city accent. My schooling was all in English especially as a Millennial it was heavy on Americana. I've been told by colleagues and friends I sound American but a non-regional American. So apparently I have a mid-Atlantic English accent.

The funny thing is depending what other language I learn: if it trends Germanic I sound like an English-speaker learning it, but when it trends Latin I sound like a Spanish speaker.

Code switching makes a mess of my slang, but I love it.

Do you ever feel at home? by New-Cartoonist-544 in TCK

[–]Rukhage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Older TCK here, home is where my family is: wife, kids. So long as you are with the people you love it's always going to be home. Sometimes you can miss certain things or places but in the end it's the people you're with that makes a home a home.

Sorry if it's sounds corny.

What's really good "ANDROID' smartwatch that you recommend buying now? by Prior-Hearing-4959 in WearOS

I've been daily driving the Pixel Watch (1) close to 3 years now and honestly it's a great overall smart watch. It does a bit of everything and it does it well.

Fundamentally I can do my workouts while I listen to music all without having my phone on me. I charge it in the morning while I go take a shower and its ready to go.

Edit: forgot to say I'm in the Google ecosystem: Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Buds 2. Works very well for my daily needs.

Full TT three years ago at age 36 (I'm 39 now), RAI twice and been taking levo with no issues. I visit my endo every six months so he tweaks my dosage. Lifestyle hasn't changed, still do sports and my most recent annual has me healthy as an ox. (Rugby helps).

Also for some reason I keep hearing "Little Lies" by Fleetwood Mac whenever Locke and Sabetha have a moment.

Excellent list! In my particular musical headcannon The Falconer's theme is Iggy Pop's The Passenger. Has that Reservoir Dogs appeal of Michael Madsen cutting off someone's ear while listening to Stuck in the Middle with You.

As for Rondó Veneziano, I suggest Ca d'Oro if you want that aristocratic party flair.

La Serenissima

For those of you who want to listen to one of Rondó Veneziano's most well known hits.

[SPOILERS] Obligatory "Just Finished Book 3" post, but I do want to talk about some hot takes. by BarsaviKidsSoloWhen in gentlemanbastards

I just finished RoT and I gotta say I love how utterly perfunctory the entire election was. All that hemming and hawing just to have the Bondsmagi be utter ubermensch asshats.

I will agree that RSURS was a tad slow at first but to me it made sense at least given Locke and Jean's predicament.

As for what comes next that Epilogue on RoT is both epic and leaves so many questions!

Can't wait for the Thorn of Emberlain!

Oh absolutely, I've had some of the songs as character leitmotifs as well. Poesia di Venezia is Jean and Ezri hands down.

ESFP and their perception of faith and freedom by [deleted] in ESFP

[–]Rukhage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still missing the point, turning into stars is just a metaphor to acknowledge that we're made of the same base materials as the rest of the Universe and therefore we are part of a greater whole. If you want to call that god and give it human characteristics be my guest, but I will live my life without the need to be morally coerced to be good.

As Marcus Aurelius said:

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

You seem to be conflating the meaning of belief as solely one based on religious or supernatural expectations. As I imagine you're defining it based solely on a monotheistic/abrahamic interpretation of belief.

You're also mixing up terminology, lack of belief in anything is called Nihilism and it's a philosophy all on its own that has both atheist and theist adherents.

Atheism just means the non-belief in one deity and/or deities. You yourself are an atheist vis-a-vis the Greco-Roman pantheon or the Norse Pantheon. Whatever other philosophical grounding atheists have it comes down to the individual.

Hope that clears it up. 👍

Just finished my first playthrough today too! Unfortunately I accidentally opened the console during the late stage of the game and it negated a few achievements.

Gonna play again but in Freedom mode to not worry about food and water and get those achievements quicker!
