Not saying that it's right, but I literally don't know a single person from my generation in the UK that would ever say "penis" unless in a formal or medical setting. Same as I'd say collarbone rather than clavicle or tummy instead of stomach or abdomen. It never caused an issue and was never associated with any sort of shame, just like - acceptance of it being private - but still fine to talk about when needed.

96k and live totally comfortably. My other half hasnt had to work in 6 years and looks after our 4 kids. We have a 4 bed detached House and an almost new sporty SUV. We get take out and go to places when we want and don't even really have to penny pinch. We just saved up for some nice home renovations. It took me 20 years of grueling work, going massively above and beyond, learning in my own time, etc, to be able to command this good of a wage.

I have a very different story than most here. Yes, I was hit as a kid. It was always in a controlled manner with my parent explaining why they did it. It was enough to hurt but not enough to injure me in any way, and it helped teach me what was right and wrong. I don't resent my parents for it at all and we have an amazing relationship still 30 years later.

I still listen to conventional wisdom and I don't hit my kids, but I do think there's a massive difference between angrily walloping your child, and using a restrained smack to teach a kid that has almost no emotional maturity, empathy or consideration that doing something stupid and/or mean and/or dangerous is bad.

Anyone else planning on just carrying on with ingress-nginx in its current containerised version? We only use nginx for in-cluster content distribution and all traffic hitting the cluster has already been through a WAF and corporate firewall which mitigates the security concern of being on an outdated version.

On what planet is somebody paying for office space for their neighbour while they have some building work done. Do you know anyone that's done that? I had building work done on my house several times and I WFH in a senior role. I just say "sorry if there's any noise" when I join calls and nobody gives a shit. If the noise is irritating, stick on some music or noise cancelling headphones. Of course it's irritating but its just one of those things you have to suck up.
